About

Scan the barcode and see instantly whether a product contains gluten. GlutenScanner is made for anyone living gluten-free — with coeliac disease, gluten intolerance, or by choice. Instead of squinting at the small print, you get a clear answer: red, yellow or green. HOW IT WORKS • Scan the barcode with your camera — or type it in • Get the answer instantly: Not safe · Be careful · Safe • See the full ingredient list with gluten sources highlighted • Product not found? Photograph the ingredient list and it's read on your phone TRAVEL CARD Travelling abroad? Show the staff a clear message about coeliac disease in their own language — 18 languages, from French and Italian to Greek, Polish, Turkish, Chinese, Thai and Japanese. Made for use in both shops and restaurants. MORE THAN GLUTEN • 14 other allergens flagged: milk, nuts, soy, egg and more • Choose which allergens you want to watch for • Special maltodextrin check — is it made from wheat? • Extra warning about oats if you are sensitive YOUR PRIVACY • No accounts. No ads. No tracking • Your scan history stays on your own phone • Ingredient lists are translated locally on your device IN YOUR LANGUAGE Available in Danish, English, German, Spanish, Swedish and Norwegian, and picks the language from your phone automatically. IMPORTANT GlutenScanner is a helper tool, not medical advice. Assessments are based on product databases that may be incomplete or outdated. Always read the ingredient list on the packaging yourself — especially with coeliac disease or severe gluten intolerance. Some product data comes from Open Food Facts and is used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

3.3

October 13, 2026

Version 3.3 Unknown products: the app no longer sends you off to a web search. You choose whether to search, photograph the ingredient list or submit the product. Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and other Cyrillic ingredient lists are now translated. Non-food items: soap, cosmetics and anything that isn't food are now recognised instead of being assessed.
