No Real Car Sounds.
The thing is expensive. And I was so excited to get some sounds like Revheads or a plethora of other apps that are practically free and can do what this does with far more realistic sounds.
The first thing this does is make me pay which was a shock. I went ahead and did it just for the app to be loaded with 30+ Sci-Fi sounds. Which all sound the D* same. ALL OF THEM. The only time it doesn’t is when it’s idle. Other than that they all make the same whiiiring jetson sound. I was so disappointed. A speaker with this much bass is made for a deep realistic engine sound.
I had to pull up another app just to show off the speakers capabilities as to how an engine sounds because none of what it came with shocked anyone. They simply laughed. And thought it was cute.
Revheads and Real Engine Sounds app(s) are where it’s at. Revheads has a ton of free real engine sounds, but the RES app has a Dodge Challenger which sounds crazy good.
Sad none of these apps use the OBD or GPS that work for Tesla but definitely sounds better and realistic.
This, to me isnt worth near a grand with its limited app sounds. You literally could use a used rechargeable JBL speaker and do the same thing. Just download an sound app that uses GPS positioning. Will be under $200.
I would have been so excited if they actually put money into getting realistic engine sounds to go with the OBD vs a bunch of synthesized noises.
Overall price should be around 340-350. Please don’t be fooled by those YouTube videos. Listen to the actual noises. None of them are true engine sounds.

My favorite sounds were Bald Eagle and Tessarosa.

Having A Blast
Kids get a kick out of the sci-fi sounds but let’s be honest, I got this thing for me. 😂 Easy to install. Added some ambient lights to complete the look too. So much fun. Highly recommend.
Great app & customer service!
I’ve had it for a few months now and I still haven't gone through all the 40+ sounds! I’m really enjoying all the different engine sounds from v8 sounds to futuristic sounds while cruising. I was having issues with it not accelerating past a certain mph and Johannes tried trouble shooting it with me but no luck. So he actually flew down all the way from Texas to Cali to help and do some data logs. Now that’s the best customer service ever!! Can’t wait for the new update and and other things Glydsphere has in store.

Exactly what you’d expect
This is an amazing “boombox” replacement, plus more!! You can pick through dozens of different preset sounds, and the fact you can add your own sounds is awesome and very easy. App works flawlessly!
Tesla Boombox Replacement + Vast Improvement
Tesla disabling Boombox while driving removed an underrated fun factor. And from car enthusiast perspective, some level of audio feedback would be welcomed versus just pure silence. The Glydsphere steps up with an answer. Through the app you get 40+ active motion-based or OBD-based sounds blaring out of the Glydsphere wireless speaker box. Sound like a spaceship or V8 muscle car? Done. Want outside noise for pedestrian safety or just goof off at car meets? Done. Plus they’re continuously adding more sounds to the app library along with ability to create your sounds. Great app and overall product.

Fun to play with if you have an EV
A fun little app if you have an EV with an external speaker. Saw the app on the Retro Recipes channel on YouTube.
The app works well and has a number of included sound effects that are futuristic and fun to play with.
You can also add your own sounds, although this does require a bit of work using a website and scanning a QR code.
Sadly the accelerometer based sounds don’t work well with my phone mount location meaning that although I get sound it doesn’t respond to the acceleration of my car, and I can not find a way to adjust the sensitivity or change to a GPS based acceleration mode.
It would be nice to be able to disable the screen animation as most of the display is just animated shapes with no function and don’t seem to have any relevance to the sound or acceleration.

Cool dramatic sci-fi sounds
For the app to work, make sure that the phone is fixed before you turn the sound on in the app.
The sync from the acceleration and the sound is not always perfect, but the developers are working to improve it.
