Great & Needs an update
It’s fantastic at practice. I’m able to do complex hacking now. It needs an update to include the new glyphs.
Wonderful learning tool
Even if it is a little outdated. Theres more glyphs that are not in the app cause of how new they are, but this is the bulk of them so learning the new glyphs will be much easier. But definitely get this to start out. It has most of the commonly used glyphs
It’s the best
It’s the best of the glyph training options, for sure. And it’s upped my glyph game immensely. But it appears that there are a couple glyphs missing. As well as a couple in the app that are no longer active. And that’s the only thing keeping me from adding that fifth star. It just needs an update.
Incomplete but still great
Although there are some missing glyphs (before, after, link, shield, field, them to name a few) I practiced with this app for thirty minutes every day for a month. I’ve gone from glyphing only level one and two portals to glyphing sevens and eights. In a week I’ve gone from 695 on my translator badge to 1600. This really works. I’d only like them to add the missing glyphs and include phrasing practice. Otherwise perfect app

Excellent practice for muscle memory
This is a great app for practicing muscle memory to do hacks. The only downside I have is that “them” and “Osiris” aren’t included.
Missing 3 glyphs
Awesome must-have for glyph hackers.
Missing three glyphs that I’m aware of.
“Before” - triangle on left side; center dot, and two on left. Not 100% sure of glyph name.
“After” - triangle on right; center dot and two on right. Not 100% sure of glyph name.
“Interrupt” - “close” + “before” (triangle on left + vertical line)

Great practice; missing some glyphs.
I learned pretty much all of the glyphs in a couple days with this. It is missing a few, however. Interrupt, before, after, sustain, sustain all, & them. The missing glyphs are in play in the field currently. All in all, great app.
Awesome app for ingress
This app is very useful. Being able to practice anytime makes it easier to get better faster. Please add newest glyphs for 2017 thanks.
Pretty good.
Missing three glyphs from the game — interrupt, before, after.
Must have if you play Ingress
Honestly, I don't write reviews on apps unless they're phenomenal, and this app is just that. I was shown this by a community member and after only 20 minutes of training I feel ready to do more training to be able to Glyph Hack. Wonderful tool to crush those problems you may have with Glyph Hacking. Awesome app!!

Great Glyphing Practice App
I use and have recommended this app to several other iOS users. Bugs were squashed for this version and the glyphs were updated. My only complaint is that the glyphing area shrunk slightly, decreasing the space between dots and making it difficult to do a lot of glyphs accurately. I still recommend it and hope for an update soon.

Good Glyph Training Tool
But it’s not perfect. The ability to turn ON and OFF the glyphs you want to practice would be AWESOME if it worked, but it doesn’t. There are quite a few glyphs I have NEVER EVER come across in my glyphing in the game and I wish they could really be turned off. New ones needed to be added to the app - I have learned them all, already but it will help newbies. I can successfully do Imperfect glyph in the field during the game but it doesn’t seem to work in the app. I agree with other reviews that it would be great to have a second mode with multiple glyphs that we then try to replicate - just like in the game. 10 min of daily practice with the app in the beginning allowed me to pretty much learn them all and now I successfully glyph almost all of the sets (even the sets of 5 from P8s) most of the time. When I miss it’s because I mess up - not because I didn’t know what the glyph was. Usually I miss a dot or transpose two glyphs and draw them in the wrong order. I’ll give it 4 stars as a learning tool - but would love to give it 5 if the changes are made.

Add timer and counter
I went from completing 1/4 or 1/5 of glyph hacks to completing nearly ever on in Ingress. And most of the time I miss one only because my fingers didn't go quite to the right dot.
Imperfect does in fact work. Looked it up and learned it. Might be a good idea to show how to do this glyph.
Suggestions: timers, counters of successful glyphs.

Just what I Needed!
This is exactly what I was looking for: a way to memorize all of the Glyph symbols. It doesn't have any sound and it would be great if it had a 3-second timer like in Ingress (those are a big distraction for me and I forget the symbols) and there is no tutorial, but it works great. The way it works is this: select "show me" and copy the drawing. Then a new symbol word comes up. Draw it. If you don't know it, press "show me". Then draw it. A few new words will come up and then it will repeat one's you already know. Eventually, a new word will come up that you don't know. Press "show me", learn a few new ones, and then it will repeat one's you've done before. In this way, you'll stack new symbols you don't know on symbols you do know. I think this is a great way to learn all the glyphs. I'd love to see an updated version with sound and a count-down timer.

Great App
This app is great for training. I spent 4 1/2 hours on a plane and the trip was over before I knew is. I have one complaint, the Imperfect glyph did not recognize that I had entered the correct pattern and would not let me move on. There should be a way to move past a glyph otherwise I was stuck. I rebooted to phone and it brought me back to Imperfect glyph within 5-10 glyphs.

Very helpful
Great way to learn glyphs. It is effectively interactive flash cards.
It's the best I have found of its kind.
Not to be thought of as an Ingress scanner simulator: different color, no sparkling animation or sizzling sound, one glyph at a time.
Suggested improvement is to simulate real world glyph frequencies so we learn the common ones first.

Excellent!
This app is amazingly helpful. I’ve improved my glyph hacking abilities immensely in only two days. The app always tells you the name of the glyph you drew, even if it’s not the one it WANTS you to draw, so you can practice tricky ones by drawing the same glyph over and over. HUMAN GAIN PEACE.
Very helpful!
While it doesn't present the glyphs in the same way they're presented in the game. It help me memorize the names of glyphs when I see them. Then when I get a string of glyphs in the game, I only have to remember a few words instead of shapes.
3/5 because some features aren't working and it would be nice to have a mode that's the same as actual glyph hacking.

Works. Kinda.
As another reviewer said, it's backwards from the Ingress expects you to handle this. That said, both directions of guessing would be nice. It would also be nice if the currently-built-in-function of turning glyphs on and off actually worked. Stock, the app had the B types of Resistance and Enlightened set to OFF, but after getting to the point where the app cycles through all glyphs, I still get ones that are turned off. It's very annoying because the app tends to produce the glyphs in patterns (see, path) and not being able to shut off some of those glyphs makes it hard to memorize the 2nd and 3rd ones in those series.
Otherwise, it's the best there is on iOS. It just needs more. With more (and working options), it'd be worth a buck or two for serious glyph hackers.
Basic suggestions:
On/off working
Guess the glyph
Glyph lookup
Mock "glyph hack" sequence with scoring
Better feeling drawing (more like Ingress)
I'd pay $5 if this app did all of that. I'd pay $5 up-front to get it all added!
Lastly, for those stuck on Imperfect, look up how to do it. Like all glyphs, it's not just the shape that counts; the order of the connections does, too. It's just that most glyphs' reverse connections or alternative drawing methods are acceptable, whole this one is very specific and unique.

Awesome - Just What I Was Looking For
Does exactly what it says on the box.
My only suggestions for a improvements would be for a logical training program that started out with simple glyphs (like “simple”) and slowly progressed through to more complex ones. Would take advantage of learning opposites (like “past” and “future”) and finally would run through random series of set like we see in the game itself with increasing levels of difficulty (1 glyph, then 2 and so on) as well as a time component.
That said, this is still a thing a beauty and MUCH needed by new players.
