There are better apps out there.
This is absolute rubbish app. Very unstable and not very intuitive.
Why is Altitude a whole number?
It’s a great little app to connect t to your Trimble device to check status.
The Altitude is rounded to a whole number like 12m, while the Lat/Lon position is given with a precision of 0.0001 meters or 0.00000001 degrees
Please fix this, as it doesn’t make sense.
Also, it would be wonderful if this app could simply log a time series location file with all information displayed in the app into a CSV. That would be very useful for iOS, as almost no other apps can natively connect to the Trimble R series and log data.

The free app works very well. I am using a Trimble R1 and iPhone. If this app had position averaging, it would be five star plus.
Update seems buggy.
Ever since the update I have been having trouble connecting to the unit on many occasions... had a black screen when I first downloaded and had to uninstall and reinstall the app.
There are Pros and Cons with the "Update"
Original review: I originally downloaded the app in July as we were getting ready to purchase a Trimble GPS . The app's UI was simple to navigate and much more user friendly (it was a five star app). Then after a couple months, we finely got our GPS device and the app's UI has changed. It is not as intuitative anymore.
Update: I do like that it saves the last GPS I connected to so I don't have to hit "connect" everytime I turn it on. There are definitely pros and cons. I just preferred the old app UI. Otherwise, the updates may be better than I initially though.
