About
Get a little stronger with every move.
Go: One Move is a Go (Baduk / Weiqi) app for playing, solving, learning and reviewing with KataGo, a superhuman Go AI. Whether you are placing your first stone, coming back after years away, or already a dan player, you can sit down with an opponent at exactly your level right away.
Made for you if
• You are new to Go — a beginner tutorial where you learn by placing stones
• You want an opponent at your level — 27 AI levels from 18 kyu to 9 dan
• You want sharper reading — 1,256 classic life-and-death problems (tsumego)
• You want to know where the game turned — winrate-graph review and AI coaching
■ An AI opponent at exactly your level
27 levels from 18 kyu to 9 dan. Pick any rank and play right away on a 9x9, 13x13 or 19x19 board — no sign-in needed.
■ 1,256 life-and-death problems
Selected from classics that have been studied for centuries — Xuanxuan Qijing, Guanzi Pu, Gokyo Shumyo and Genran — in 5 levels. The board zooms in on the problem, solved problems are marked in the list, and you can view the solution when you get one wrong. Your stones are numbered as you play, and once solved you can keep playing the position freely, alternating Black and White.
■ Learn Go (beginner tutorial)
Rules, capturing techniques, life and death, scoring, and getting ready for your first game. You learn by placing stones on the board, not just by reading. Short steps let you pick it up whenever you have a minute.
■ Ranked matches — win and face stronger opponents
Sign in and get matched with an opponent that fits you. You start at 18 kyu and meet stronger opponents as you win, and your nickname, rank and record follow you to any device.
■ AI review and coaching
Every game is saved to your account. Find the turning points on the winrate graph, then see the AI's suggested moves, winrates, expected lines and a score estimate at each key moment.
■ AI hints while you play
Signed in, you can turn on AI hints and a score estimate during practice games.
■ Accurate scoring
When the game ends, territory is counted under Korean rules (komi 6.5), with territory and dead stones marked on the board.
■ No misclicks
Two-step move confirmation lets you place stones precisely, even on a 19x19 board.
Practice games, life-and-death problems and the tutorial all work without signing in. When you do sign in, it takes just an email code — no separate sign-up.

Keep playing even when the AI server can't be reached. Download the AI model file once when prompted, and an AI on your device plays its moves and scores the game. The app switches back automatically when the server returns.
