Great website, awful app.

Sorry to be a downer, but the app is really awful. I have been reporting bugs ages ago, and 2 years later are still not fixed. My suggestion: just ditch the app and use the web version, with the “send to home screen” functionality.
Also, an app with no updates in 2 years is really giving an unprofessional vibe, which is a pity, given the website version is really good, so definitely give GoalsOnTrack a try!

This guy’s hilarious

Thinks you’ll pay him $70 just to use the app in the first place. Guess he thinks his screenshots are so magical that customers won’t even expect a limited free version to see how they like it.

What a joke.

Don’t waste your money

This app is worthless unless you are a person who is really disorganized; and in that case you probably won’t use it anyway. There are too many bugs to mention - let’s just call it an infestation. It is way overpriced and the 30 day money back guarantee is not easy to obtain. Go somewhere else to achieve your goals and save your money. There! You have already achieved one!

Horrible

Was advertised as $68 per year, then said they were going to charge $90-some, then ended up charging my credit card $110. When I emailed to cancel, as they state there is a 30-day cancellation policy, they apparently couldn’t help me. Would give 0 stars if I could - shady.

Response from developer

This review was untrue. We never charge any one other than the $68 price, which is in US dollars. Not sure why this reviewer said we charged him/her $110.

This app is too expensive for how buggy it is

The desktop version is great and seems to work really well, but the iOS apps for iPhone and iPad only sort of work. Tasks that are due daily often don’t show up anywhere. They do show up on the desktop version, but who wants to have to get on a desktop every day just to log the completion of a task?

Awesome— but It’s essential to use the website first

This is SO great. I can’t emphasize enough how brilliant this is!!!

Basically you set a bunch of SMART goals (the ones that research says you’ll actually keep) on their website and they have this great software for chunking it down to little goals and planning when to do everything. It’s very easy. I spent all of today on it - time extremely well spent because it now pre-populates the app with all the tasks and habits I need to do the year to reach my goals.

This is SUCH a huge solution!!!! I usually spend way too much time hunched over my planner trying to figure out the next steps for my projects. I’m so excited about this and I’m keeping the subscription past the 30 days (I usually cancel them as most are not so useful!!!)

Goals

I used the application for over a year but kept requesting information and a time frame about the mobile app. The app eventually was made available but it is not functional nor is it user friendly for IOS or Android and for that reason it’s a game changer for me and I will not be using the app in the future

Multiple issues - renewal unlikely

When I bought a subscription last year, I brought up many issues with the developer and even suggested a phone call to discuss the issues. I still have the below issues plus others that I’m not listing. I haven’t spoken with the developer either. Shortly after that request he stopped communicating with me. All I’ve received so far is a bunch of spam on goal setting and how to accomplish goals.

The two biggest things I want fixed are
1. The habits scrolling off the screen in the IPhone app
2. Use of a date picker (calendar) so you can see the actual date in iPhone app

I have many other concerns and issues as well. I won’t be renewing as I get the impression based on my correspondence or lack there of with the developer that this is more of a hobby for him. It’s a shame because it could be so much better. If you purchase, don’t expect much and you’ll be fine.

Unable to use the app

I purchased the app and the set up didn’t work (I couldn’t validate my name and password). Ever since, I can’t use the app because I can’t login or properly sign up because it says that I have already signed up.
I have contacted the support by email and phone but didn’t get an answer. Hopefully this gets sorted out ASAP.

Issue with tasks list

For some reason, every time I set up daily tasks for a goal, for example, I had a daily read count for a certain number of books year, after I complete one task, the remaining list of tasks just disappears. I set up the task to be recurring daily, but after completing one day, the whole task disappears, like if by completing one occurrence, the app recognizes the task as if it was for one occurrence only. Can the developer fix the bug, upgrade the version, or just inform how to get around this?

Besides that, the features are powerful for their purpose.

Great App

This app is powerful in the life/goal planning space and has allowed my to automate so much of my life planning.

The pictures you attach to each goal page really help with the visualisation process.
The task set up and measuring tools are great. Prior to this I always used excel spreadsheets and I feel it has massively helped me level up my game.

I've read reviews where people say it isn't user friendly, it can seem that way at first until you understand how everything interrelates and it becomes very straightforward. Harry has created more than enough user training videos and material to get you going.

So Far, So Good

I am so far pleased with Goals On Track. My suggestion for users is to use the native website to build your goals and the app to track. You can add within the app, but I just find it easier to use the website and track with the app. It takes some time to build what you want and I suspect that I have taken a few wrong turns that I will have to remedy on future goals. The app lists everything that I have built and I can check items off, but I feel that the real power is on the website, personally.

It seems to me that the negative reviews may be users trying to build within the mobile app, which may be frustrating to some. Myself included. I am pleased with my purchase as I have been looking for some time for an all encompassing software to help me track goals, create habits, and build some accountability around these tasks and goals.

Don’t download thinking you can pay $9.99 and try a month

There is no $9.99/mo option. Once you download, you have to signup to log in and try the app at all, and the ONLY option is $67.99. Website or thru the App Store, no monthly option at all.

Disappointing

The emails provide such great information I thought the app would be just as good. I was really disappointed and won’t be using it.

This app was not helpful or easy to use

I am deleting this app. I do not find it user friendly or helpful at all. The app on my phone doesn’t look anything like the tutorial video and I’m not hauling my laptop around to track my goals. Unfortunately, I’ll be charged for this useless tracker.

Very disappointing app experience

I’m sure the online version of this software is great but as an app it’s terrible and needs much more investment. It constantly crashes, looks and feels outdated and is far inferior to many free or lower cost apps - and I’ve tried lots of them!

Why would anyone pay for a goals app

This app did not help me reach my goal of not paying $9.99 a month for an app to track my goal of saving money.

It’s everything I wanted in a habit tracker

I’d shopped around and researched several options before buying this app. What I most wanted was the ability to break big goals down into smaller, more manageable tasks. That’s helped me get over my tendency to procrastinate when a job seems too big or too hard.

The feature I use the most is the habit tracker. I’ve set myself some habits I want to form in various different categories and tick them off every night before bed. It seems to be working to embed the habits!

At the end of the day, the app offers a money-back guarantee, so you can’t really go wrong.

Misleading pricing

In app pricing is in USD and the developer has not made this clear or converted to local currency. So I decided to try for one month at 9.99 and got hit for 15.99 AUD

After that, I was unable to creat and account. I entered name and password (no guidance given on password strength) but the 'Create Account' button remained disabled. No error messages, no explanation.

This is a pretty amateurish effort. The website may be fine but this app is not ready for mainstream use yet.
