WebSocket protocol version mismatch
There is an issue where GoClaw uses WebSocket Protocol v3
And OpenClaw Gateway (the server you're connecting to) uses WebSocket Protocol v4. When GoClaw (v3 client) tries to connect to OpenClaw Gateway (v4 server), the handshake fails with "protocol mismatch" because the client and server are speaking different protocol versions.

Replaced my old chatbot setup
way more for a clunky solution. Migrated to GoClaw and the difference is night and day — faster to deploy, easier to manage, and actually cheaper.
Perfect for non technical people

I've been running my own AI tools for years and this is by far the easiest self-hosted setup I've found. Isolated instance, my data stays mine. Exactly what I wanted.
Good but credits run out fast
The bot is great and super easy to use, but 1,000 credits on the trial went quicker than I thought. Had to upgrade to Basic sooner than planned.
The privacy aspect sold me
Every instance is isolated and encrypted. No shared servers, no data selling. For someone who cares about where their conversations go, this is a big deal.

The search and reminders work really well. Scheduled messaging is handy. But sometimes the bot misunderstands complex requests. Still, for $39/month it does a lot more than I expected.

Works great on WhatsApp and Telegram but I really need Slack and Gmail support. The page says "coming soon" but no timeline. Bot itself is solid though.
