Best Mobile Godzilla Game Out There (but….)

I love Godzilla so to finally play a mobile Godzilla game that isn’t trash is amazing. The gameplay is simple but offers a lot in terms of strategy! And therein lies the problem with this game, the power creep is stupid. One minute you are playing on a fair arena and the next you are playing top 10 players in the world. You often come across whales (losers with too much money on their pockets so they buy and rank up their monsters) and get completely steamrolled. The game has strategy like I said but if you come across a long time player (which I understand they should be good and rewarded for staying committed but not even being in the top 2,000 players shouldn’t allow me to even come across them) or whale, strategy does not matter at all. You are getting wrecked no matter what you do. The time of the day you play this game also matters. Obviously the no-lives (like me) want to play often and during certain windows in the day a lot of high ranking players/whales play and that’s all you’ll come across. Instead of smashing your phone like I always want to, just take a break and experiment to find out when in the day there are more active players so you come across less of the high ranking players/whales. Besides the major ranking issues, the game is fun. I don’t mind losing if the game is fair but more than half of the time I come across players that can throw literal trash monsters at me and I can’t stop them. In terms of monetization it’s not as intrusive as other games. It’s definitely there but it’s not too bad. I pay for the season pass. It’s not overly priced, like $5-$10. Yeah let that sink in, I pay for this game in terms of the season pass and I still get obliterated just because I don’t pay $30-$80 to max rank everything and curb stomp everyone. In terms of monsters, there are a lot of busted annoying as hell leaders that you’ll come across a lot from people who just BS their way to higher ranks. I’m complaining a lot but this is still the best mobile Godzilla game out there.

FAQ

What is this app about?

This is a real-time battle strategy game where you build a team of monsters and weapons from the Godzilla series. You then pit your team against other players from around the world in fast-paced, 3-minute matches. The goal is to strategically deploy your monsters to defeat the opponent's lead monster and achieve victory.

How do I get new monsters?

You can acquire new monsters by winning battles, which rewards you with maps of Monster Island. Exploring these maps allows you to discover new monsters. If you find a monster you already possess, you can use it to upgrade your existing monsters, making them stronger for future battles.

Is this app free to play?

The application is free to download and play. However, it does offer in-app purchases, which can be used to acquire items or enhance gameplay. The presence of ads may also be a factor in the free experience.

What kind of monsters can I use?

The game features a wide array of popular monsters and weapons from the Godzilla series. This includes iconic characters such as Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Rodan, Anguirus, and Mechagodzilla, along with various weapons like the MBAW-93 and unmanned train bombs.

How does the battle system work?

In battles, you plan your strategy and deploy your chosen monsters. Each monster acts independently once deployed. When monsters from opposing players meet, combat ensues. Victory is achieved by defeating the opponent's lead monster.
