Thank you for your feedback. Gold Scanner provides gold-related visual estimates and reference tools, while the detector feature uses the iPhone’s magnetometer to measure nearby magnetic-field changes. Metal springs, furniture frames, electronics, and other nearby materials can affect these readings, so the detector cannot confirm the presence of gold by itself. We’re reviewing the calibration experience and will continue improving it in future updates.
