Best volunteer experience
I figured there must be an app for volunteering and I was surprised to see that there are several, I downloaded this one and successfully signed up in seconds. my volunteer experience exceeded my expectations and there was no paperwork, but I felt safe the whole time.

As an organizer how would I log into the app to my dashboard? To be able to launch a check in kiosk?

Signed up based on the recommendation from my group Alpha Phi Omega. I live in Ohio and there is only one event. It keeps recommending events in Florida and San Diego even though I have my filter set to 50miles. And the sole event for my organization doesn’t even have sign up button, nor do some others. Yeah…another failed partnership by our clueless leadership. No one asked for this.

California Exclusive
I really appreciate the developers for making this app. It’s a great idea, and exactly what I was looking for! Unfortunately, for anyone who doesn’t live in California, this app may not be worth it. Like other people have expressed, I only found a single volunteer opportunity within 50 miles of me, despite the fact that I live next to a major university.
Developers, you may want to get into contact with United Way or other big volunteer organizations to alert them to the existence of this app instead of waiting for them to come to you.

Only shows FAR AWAY opportunities
No matter what local zip code I put in, I am shown opporunities from places as far away as San Diego — somewhere that I am nowhere near. Not sure what the reason is. Will keep this app in the background until it can be updated properly. Wish that it would show something like “No opportunities near you” if that is the reason.

Preferences do not work
This app gives me results 4492 miles from me. Yes. That is the distance from Honolulu to Atlanta.

Buggy
seems good but it crashes VER frequently
Needs some development work
Golden needs a lot of work. It does not always show all of our opportunities and the user interface could be a lot simpler and more user friendly. It is hard to navigate and frustrating to use.

love this app compared to volunteer match or the public library whose links go to error 404! ease of signing up youths and then just adding guests is key. I just downloaded and im already helping homeless tonight!

Nothing in the whole state?
Lots of virtual options but nothing physically in my area of Reno Nevada. In fact, the closest that comes up is several states away!
For Los Angeles Area it Seems
It’s wonderful that your spending time developing an app that is probably not the most lucrative project you could be spending your time on - that’s very noble. I’m in New York City - the largest city in the country- and there was only one organization with a listing. So here’s my feedback: 1) please allow users to see opportunities before signing up - the only explanation for not doing so is that your somehow trying to monetize the collection of emails. I honestly feel duped for giving my email address. 2) Consider renaming your app something with LA or Los Angeles in the title, or at least make it very clear in the description that there is limited opportunities in areas other than _____ Or if you’d just allow people to search opportunities before signing up, the second suggestion wouldn’t be necessary. There’s space for an app like this so if you’re a 501c3 you should write a few grants and you’ll be poppin in no time.

Deleted App
I had to delete the app because my discover page was North Carolina. I don’t live in or near NC and never have. No matter with my zip code on or what it’s not giving me opportunities and just wasting space on my phone.
Am I missing something?
I don’t know what is going on, but all of the shifts available have 2021 dates. Even if it’s an error I can’t sign up for them.
Glitchy and low key offensive
Even though I changed the search parameters, it was showing me mostly listings hundreds of miles away. Also, most of the photos for listings were of white people “helping” dark skinned people. No thanks. Hope they eilVolunteer connection gets the job done!
Crashes when I go to help
I was able to submit and application to one non profit but I tried for another and it crashes every time I try.
Always crashing
I can’t sign up for anything. Whenever I click “sign up” the app just crashes.
Sign up with Apple isn’t working
I’ll definitely change this rating once this is resolved. There is no sign up with Apple option. Both sections of the page “sign up” and “sign in” have the buttons “sign in” with Apple. The sign up page has a “sign in” button and even when I hit it nothing happens. I hope this makes sense. Looks like it’s a minor bug that can easily be fixed
