New Update - Terrible
The latest Golf NZ app update is terrible. Unbearable loading times when trying to book a tee time or load scores. The new interface is also messy and cheap looking. Looks like a first time developer remade the entire app. Please change it back!
Tee Booking Issues
Generally pretty good but the booking portion of the app sometimes does not work. No green dots appear even though you can book through the clubs website. Frustrating as by the time to log into the other, tee times are gone.
Remove ads
Ever since you introduced the home screen ad I've been averaging 5 app crashes/restarts per round of golf(from none).
Also, could we get rid of the ad at app load?

There's consistency: I consistently get served ads. Also consistently get app crashes. Loving this when I max a hole and have to painstakingly load the app, wait for the ad, open my scorecard and browse to the hole to mark my max score.

Performance inconsistent
Score cards not being produced and available tee times not accurate. Needs to be improved.
Bad Gateway
Unilaterally logged me out, won’t allow me to sign back in. When you click the link for ‘forgotten password’ it just says ‘bad gateway’. Useless

Incorrect score Pop Up
It is frustrating when a score has been put in by your playing partner incorrectly then amended by the next hole but still get the same pop up for the rest of the round. Each time it comes up after entering a score so then have to swipe to enter another score on the same hole. Also why not have in the drop down menu a “go to hole #” for easy maintainence on the course.

The latest update makes a bad app worse. Well done.
The friends list is buggy showing wrong scores and wrong or just blank profile pictures.
It now takes multiple steps to find someone you just had a tee time with. It insists I filter by my club but can’t even find my club, and then can’t find my partner who was on my sheet and booked the tee time for me. There is zero intuitiveness in this app, it’s slow, clunky, extremely buggy and feels like it’s 10 years behind in development.
The app was bad enough before this latest update and now is even worse: why are we putting up with this in 2025, find a new developer and rebuild it,

In need of simple improvements
A few simple improvements would make this app ok but currently it’s poor. Searching for golfers and requiring their club would be fine, however when certain clubs don’t appear to a search it makes this useless
Nice app but….
Would be great to fix the tee bookings search. When I look for Queenstown-Wanaka I get a lot of North Island courses….

Absolute nightmare trying to search or add friends.
Delete scorecard
Great app overall but it won’t let me delete my scorecard after I have created it if I got something wrong for example front or back 9 it won’t let me delete it very annoying
Credentials Lost on Update/Unable to Login
Used previous app version yesterday without issue, then updated it today after prompt.
It logged me out after update installed and when I logged in with saved credentials it says invalid.
When trying to reset it says membership number doesn’t exist.
Now I have to wait until support responds to use the app again…

Bad update feature
The app is great, love it! But please undo the change you just made to the ‘player search’ feature. It was far more preferable to have a list full of people pop up when you search a name than having to search a club before you can search a person. There are far too many clubs to select from and if you don’t put in a specific club, you won’t get any type of search result for the person you’re searching. I need to do up a draw and I don’t have all the home clubs but at least in the list of names I could find who i needed. Please change it back!

So many bugs, who developed this ?
What has happened
The old version was ok as it was - I can no longer book anyone else to play golf with me my search won’t work when I want to add other players - I am using an iPhone 15 - really disappointed, used to love the ap .

Bookings with Friends
The current version has removed the option to book a tee time and include anyone in your friends list.
Before this the app worked perfectly.
