Like the sound of the GONG, this App does what I want it to do. Here is my Zen user manual:
A. Changing the time period requires you to swipe up or down on the hours and or minute boxes.
B. You then choose either:
1. Mediate:
Sets a period of time before the GONG sounds.
or
2. Freestyle:
Starts the timer and you stop it when you tap the screen to get the sound of the GONG!
==> Yes, the “wooden” screen goes dark when it is “timing” but there are NO DISTRACTIONS.
Wishlist:
1. Choice of different GONGS
2. Setting multiple periods before beginning!

Not sure about this
The timer doesn’t seem to work on the lock screen. The sound would be nice if the weird sci-fi beep things weren’t there at the end. The freestyle option is nice though

How does it actually work?
The developer must have written the first review. Sorry, but I can’t see how the app works. You open it up and your screen goes dark. There’s no menu (that I could see) and I’m really not sure how it works. I’ve deleted it off my phone again.
Doesn’t seem to work
Screen goes black and there’s no way to turn off timer, if needed.
