Nothing new after April

I've not been able to access any Good Light Magazines after April 2024

Awesome magazine with in-depth articles written by actual working photographers, not some YouTube only influencers! I want an experienced instructor when I seek solutions, I find them on the pages of Good Light Magazine!

Took a bit but this last update seems to have fixed all the IOS17 issues. Think it cleaned up some nagging issues recognizing subscriptions also. Thank

Doesn’t work anymore.

I loved this when it worked but, after an OS update, it won’t load on my iPhone or iPad. It’s been some time. Looks like others have this problem as well. If it doesn’t load and I can’t see my issues, this is no longer an app and there’s no point in continuing my sub. If it ever gets fixed, I’ll likely be back.. maybe.. but.. not today..

Not accessible since IOS 17

I've been able to access my Good Light Magazine subscription on all my IOS mobile devices up until IOS 17. Now it won't open at all!

IOS 17 Broke the application

Excellent application when it works. Allows for offline reading on the train. But Apple’s recent update crashes the app.

Love it when it works

After the latest IOs update I have not been able to open the app. I have emailed support and left a message but no reply as of yet. It’s been weeks now….

Unbeatable!

This magazine is absolutely amazing! It's the only one I look forward to receiving each month. Full of invaluable advice on technique, including video content, when setting up shots, whether using speedlights or studio lighting. This mag has given me the inspiration and confidence to set up my own studio, which I now run as a business. Well worth the subscription.

App works well. Excellent content

The app works well and the layouts are good. Easy to read.
Articles are very informative and inspiring

Support is hard to obtain but love the content

There is really no way to reach the developer except through the review process. I have an active subscription but the app tells me “I need to connect to the internet and then click re-load”
I promise you I am connected to the internet. I can not get to the help desk inside of the app if the app does not open.
The web address I have from previous emails is no longer active.
So I am forced to come here to the review section in hopes you see this issue

Super frustrating

The content is good, but it takes an unreasonable amount of time - hours - for it to recognize that I have a subscription and shouldn’t need to buy on a single-issue basis. Hitting the ‘restore’ button gets a circling symbol and text declaring that it is restoring purchases, then a pop-up saying that it worked, usually a repetition of the process, and no change in the issues from a ‘buy’ button to a ‘download’ button.

I’m unable to download the last three issues in spite of repeating this numerous times over hours of time. I have the latest update of the app and the iPad system.

In the cases that it’s finally allowed me to download an issue, it’s good content.

App appears to be abandoned.

The app doesn’t work on the current iOS version and the developer can’t be contacted. Seems to have been abandoned.
Edit: the developer has kindly reached out and explained that the app is being updated. Now 5 stars because the magazine itself is great. Thanks.

Terrible app experience

I have been a subscriber since the beginning but I am constantly asked to purchase individual issues. Past six issues don’t even have an option to download. Customer support is non-existent. If they can’t fix my problems I will have to cancel my subscription.

Hi Crushed, thank you for being a subscriber and sorry for the technical problem. Can you please contact the helpdesk inside the app (Homescreen > Settings icon > Contact us here). This way the helpdesk will receive your device token. It will help them to fix the problem and make sure you have access to the magazine issues. Good light! ~ Michael
