super slow loading, no offline mode
love the interface of this app but the slow loading and lack of an offline play option really takes away from it.
Initial observations
I was looking for a sudoku game without ads. I would say that this is a bit more sophisticated than what I was using before. I am a beginner level and frankly did not realize there’s all kinds of different strategies which this app introduces you too. I like the fact that I can seamlessly play games between my iPad and phone. I’m an older adult looking for a little brain exercise and find sudoku very engaging. I don’t have any suggestions right now. Keep up the good work and I’m glad I found this sudoku app.

Was great TIL YOU BROKE IT
This is definitely my favorite Sudoku app to play. Excellent, clean UI, great teaching tools. BUT. With the last update, offline play is completely broken, sticking on the loading screen forever. Since one of my primary play times is on log plane flights with no net… yeah, it becomes worthless.
Also, scores for Classic mode are also broken, regularly giving me a score of… 1.
If fixed, this would once again be a 5-star app, as it was for years. But these are both major, annoying bugs that I personally submitted bug reports on over 6 months ago. So unless and until it gets fixed, I’m docking one star per bug.

Internet required?
Can’t play this at the cottage anymore where I have no internet. This app is essentially dead.
Excellent Sudoku App, but No Offline Mode
Good Sudoku is among the best Sudoku apps on iOS, and I was happy to pay for the full version. Unfortunately, the lack of a proper offline mode is a deal breaker.
A Sudoku app, especially when paid, should be able to launch and play local puzzles without an internet connection. Online features like daily puzzles and leaderboards can understandably require internet access, but the core game shouldn’t.
The app is also currently plagued by loading-screen issues, with it sometimes getting stuck indefinitely. More concerningly, it appears to no longer be actively maintained, with the last update over a year ago despite these ongoing problems.
It’s a shame because the actual Sudoku experience is excellent. I’d gladly rate it higher if reliable offline support and the loading issues were fixed.

Seems good if you already know Sudoku
But very frustrating for someone trying to learn the game. Hints only give one piece of information (and always something I already know). Why not allow for another hint that might reveal the logic needed to find a number.
Buggy
Could be great. I didn’t want to believe the negative reviews but I just lost a long streak as it would be stuck on the loading screen forever whenever starting the game with the only solution being to remove and redownload the app. There are a few minor bugs with the UI too but losing all scores because it needs periodic reinstalls is a particularly frustrating issue that needs to be fixed.

Loading screen frozen
As many people have pointed out, the loading screen bug has no fix and is VERY annoying to deal with. I wouldn’t be so disgruntled if I could reinstall and have all of my stats and progress saved. Everything else about this app is great and I love it a lot, hence why I’m still using it regularly, but this bug is making me want to look for an alternative app.

Disappointing
I purchased this app because I grew tired of watching endless adverts on the “free” sudoku app I was using. Although I enjoy the functionality of this app it frequently fails to launch, which leaves me with no option but to delete and reinstall. Then I lose all of my progress and statistics. Not acceptable for a paid app.

after paying for premium i’ve been experiencing issues with the game such as leaving me waiting on a loading screen or not loading anything in general. I thought i finally found my fav sudoku app please don’t make me chance my mind !!
The App the Taught me Sudoku
I was never much for puzzle games but I always liked the allure of being able to solve sudoku puzzles. After much time and specifically this app helping me learn to visualize the game better I'm now half decent!
Gets stuck on ‘loading’, unplayable sadly
I’ve loved this app for such a long time and hate using any other, and have paid for it multiple times. But it literally doesn’t work any more - it’s impossible to open any of the technique sections. I’ve reinstalled the app/restarted my phone countless times which fixes the issue for opening games, but even a whole fresh OS install (for other purposes lol) hasn’t worked for the techniques - I simply cannot open the 2 string kite section; it sticks on loading permanently. Extremely sad to see this app die.

One major flaw
I’ve completed over 140 pro and over 100 impossible puzzles. So far, I have found 3 pro-level puzzles that violate the Sudoku uniqueness rule. The solutions to these 3 puzzles have one or more “unique” or “avoidable” rectangles…that aren’t avoidable (since they are in the solution). Attempted to leave feedback within the app, but haven’t heard from the developer.

Good But…
The lack of demarcation around the cells and highlighting the pencil marks rather than the cell itself makes it impossible for me to correctly identify in which cell the pencil mark is located. For pity’s sake - highlight the containing cell, not the pencil mark. And put lines between the cells.
Black screen of death…
I know internet connection is required, and game center required for daily puzzles which are reasons enough to delete, but on top of that it's WAY TOO BUGGY!

Offline mode
Please fix offline mode. It hangs indefinitely if it can’t connect to the Apple game network.
Do not understand
Not good. I have no idea how to load a new game. I paid my one time fee for good Sudoku and do not know anything about how to initiate a game. Can I only play one a day? Can I play an advanced game? Nor do I know what the three vertical bars are for on the left side. No instruction set or definitions.
Hints? Do not want them. But no idea how to get them. Game is one time $4.99, but do not know if this means. NADA, NO INSTRUCTION. NO CLUES. NO CHOICES, NO GAME AFTER THE FIRST.

Gone Downhill
This used to be one of my favourite games but now it’s so irritating. I’m having to reinstall it constantly because of it hanging on opening. Please fix this!!!
Update urgently. Forever loading after closing the app.
This has been my favorite app for years now but it has stopped work on my phone recently. It's forever stuck on the loading screen when I try and open it. It only works again when I re install it. Please update the app and fix this.
BS “hints”
So far the app is great. 1-2 ads after each game is fair. What’s irritating is clicking on hint only to be shown a “naked pair” that I’ve already seen and eliminated the appropriate numbers for. Like, just say theres no hint to give.
