Incredibly accurate, even with quiet speech
I’m genuinely impressed with Google AI Edge Eloquent. The speech detection is excellent — it can pick up my voice clearly even when I speak very softly or almost whisper, then insert the words into the app quickly and accurately. Dictation feels natural, smooth, and reliable, without the usual frustration of repeating myself. It is very useful for writing notes, messages, and longer text by voice. A simple, powerful, and highly recommended app.

I suppose this is good for transcribing your thoughts but without being able to use as a keyboard, I don’t really see much use for it.
Can’t wait for this to expand to more places
This is incredible value for money. I m using voice to text WAY more than I used to now. I especially like the post processing of the text.
My only issue is that it is only available on iOS currently. A native MacOS app would be killer and would improve my efficiency even more as right now the only pain point is having to grab my phone, unlock it, open the app, etc. Still already improves my efficiency as is though so gets 5 stars from me.

Awesome Tool
Very useful, good for thought dumping
Super useful tool to post the social media
This tool really improves my social media posts experience. It solves the grammar issues, spelling issues and a lot of words issues. It keeps the main structure, but polishes and professionalizes the whole post. Super useful tool. I am not the guy to give 1 star to push for features.

Exactly what I was looking for
Why does my transcription history appear in PST when my device is not in that time zone? (The east coast demands respect! Just kidding.) I was also gonna request the ability to integrate with other apps and/or more easily export/share transcription output besides copying and pasting, but that’s a fake problem that I just made up, so disregard. Searchable dictation history is more than sufficient when trying to recall a previous yap session. Thanks!

Want this to work
I really want this app to work. I’ve used whisper flow but my default is opening ChatGPT and using their mic to transcribe my thoughts and then copying and pasting. This app works for me 40% of the time. The other 60 it just records nothing at all. I learned the hard way by hitting record and rambling on and on only to find it didn’t record a single word. I updated the app, restarted my phone and it just works when it wants to. Please fix this and I’ll update it to 5 stars🙏🏾
UPDATE: Changed my rating to 4 ⭐️ now because the update fixed the issue of not catching what I was actually saying. The thing that would make this a 5⭐️ review is if the app would load faster. I have the app assigned to my quick button on my iPhone and it takes a long time load! You want something that can jump right into dictation because 9/10 you’re doing something quickly.

Room for improvement
2026-04-23: sorry phone has <5GB free space, if that caused issue or if firewall log caught wrong data (URLs) or anything my bad & hope for network-free toggle thank you! Love concepts here

More I've been thinking y'all might be a tiny team with huge latitude and that no-network toggle suggestion might be a quick internal discussion away. Pls if feasible too: a little transparency regarding offline mode that, for quality, you'll still siphon a bit of telemetry (“no transcripts!” or w/e)… knowing what you’re collecting provides comfort. (Ur open models rock btw)

Please note neglect to include context around hard-coded, non-skippable, 30sec delay when Google servers are inaccessible in spite of being in offline mode, & application taking only 5 seconds when Internet access is available. Was there a character limit, or why was I not asked if I had tried waiting ~35 seconds + perhaps take the time to explain what my phone is trying to do during the hardcoded 30-second splash screen delay? Maybe unexpected behavior on this iPhone 17 Pro, understand it happens. (BTW, “disable all cloud features” meant the cloud icon you immediately referenced which made me think I might sound non-credible to readers.) Cheers research team

A step in the right direction
Really good app, however it lacks key features to make it a daily driver:
- Ability to keep the recording.
- Record audio whilst the screen is turned off.
- Better sharing capabilities.
- Features to audio during meetings and prepare minutes.
- Ability to ID/Split people talking and prepare a script from the conversation.

I’ve been waiting for something like this! Eloquent works really well when I am driving or pacing around to get my thoughts out etc. It even works on voice memos I recorded before! I’m already using it quite regularly. Also it’s actually free, no indication they are trying to lure you in like the other apps with the promise of try for free and you’re slammed with a paywall after N words or N days of trial. Now it makes no sense to pay another $15 subscription.
