Awful. Rarely pairs with camera.
Constantly having to reboot the camera and repairing every time I want to access my videos. Sometimes the app will work seamlessly for 2 days then it will just not pair.
Everyone associated with this product should be fired
I am not going to say the people who created this app deserve to die. But they should all be fired from their jobs and never allowed to touch technology again. I have never encountered an app that is so difficult, that it is so glitchy, that just doesn’t do what it is supposed to. The fact that it takes me over an hour to download a handful of pictures which literally should take five minutes makes me filled with rage at this app. It has made me realize that I can no longer buy GoPro product because I do not want to interact with this terrible interface.

Terrible App
I wish there was an alternative or that I had purchased from another company rather than GoPro.

Good functionality, that’s about it.
Well designed app, and it works well for everything but exporting videos. Extremely difficult and buggy, only when exporting videos. Be aware of this when uploading large amounts of files. Truly unbelievable that the windows quik was discontinued.
Just buy a storage device if you’re looking to offload photos and videos with intent to actually own them.

Freezes Straight Out of the Box
I just bought my GoPro hero 13 and immediately turning it on and trying to connect it to the app it refuses to connect. It keeps saying unable to join and it also will not shut off even if I hold the off button down for 40 seconds I have to pull the battery.. trash and will be returning to get a DJI

Constant Crashing while Editing

All they have is an auto edit where you can’t remove the stupid music, choose how the video is strung together, or anything useful.

Takes forever to upload from the camera even on 5G. Loads one video quickly then you just get the circling arrow for any others until you disconnect, shutdown the app, restart the app, reconnect then try and it works until you go to another video then you have to repeat all these steps all over again and again until you acquire all the footage you may want to use . Might be time to switch to the Insta 360 and give that a try. I know I'll never buy any long term subscription from GoPro until they fix this app.

WORTHLESS GARBAGE!
I am extremely disappointed in Go Pro. I had come to expect so much more from you. You are getting left in wind. There are far better apps available and you make NO EFFORT to make your app better. I don’t expect anyone from Go Pro to read these reviews, but if you do, upgrade your app or you’ll be losing me as a subscriber.

Consistently buggy
I use this app for one purpose: control my GoPro remotely so I can position it and start recording without having to physically push the button. Every single time I’ve used it I’ve had issues. Either it stops recording without warning or it loses connection and doesn’t actually start recording despite saying it’s connected. I’ve lost so many moments because I hit record on the app and it was buggy.

Getting worse and worse
After the last two updates, I haven't been able to connect the preview anymore.

It’s really sad to see the app has gone down hill and it’s like they want to push you towards a subscription. When you attempt to connect to your gopro it will work sometimes. Other times you get a unable to connect.
Lost footage, storage killer
I thought the app was good at first… I just got done editing a video, I was about to save it to my phone but the app takes up so much storage for some reason . So I deleted it and downloaded it again after that it took up way less space so I could download my video but when I logged back into the app my video and all my clips were gone. If you own a hero 4k this is such an inconvenience since you have to use the app for the stabilization feature. So now i guess I’ll have to download another app which takes up more space, download my videos to my phone storage, then upload them to my new editing app… disappointed

Old Hero 3 = Toast
This app used to allow connection and control of our trusty hero 3 black. It now doesn’t connect to the hero 3’s wifi. Sad that I need to find a work around or pay for a 3rd party app 🤷🏼♂️. Humm not sure what I did but it is connected now 👍👍👍….oh no now its not…as per above …kinda buggie. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ work in progress….maybe charge level of the battery or heat

Holding footage captive
There is no way to stream your footage or hook up a hdmi to your tv so the footage is trapped. This app needs casting abilities otherwise the entire camera and app are useless
Functionality Issues
Have had the GoPro Quick app for about 3 years. Up until most recently the app is not functional and freezes while trying to review albums and my media. I am forced to force close the app within seconds of attempting to review my files. For an app with a subscription fee this should not be happening. Not satisfied with app user ability.

I have the Hero 13 Black and this app was perfect for editing videos and adding the finishing touch but 1 downside is that the videos take FOREVER to upload to my iphone so that is why I gave it a 4 star. Anyways great app GoPro!
Challenging Hero Max
I use this app primarily with my hero max and it’s a pain to use.
No cloud editing for over 4gb is a hurdle.
Controlling camera direction while editing is very non intuitive. Once edited the view locks on playback.
Slow and buggy throughout.
Needs some pretty big updates for max compatibility before it’s as good as instas 360 software.

Very annoying
This platform is the most difficult to use, confusing, and inconvenient app I’ve ever used. Uploading videos to a computer is genuinely the biggest headache ever if you try to do it through a computer. Unless you do all your editing on your phone, if you plan on editing on a computer, get a different camera because this is such a headache.
