App glitches and kicks me out
I am frustrated !!! App glitches and kicks me out whenever I try to do anything in the app. I try to upload photos-kicked out, just watch a video- KICKED OUT, or trying to create edit a video-KICKED OUT.
What is the point of paying for the premium of this app if it just glitches and kicks me out?!??????

The download option is not enabled, why??? Is because im not paying the subscription? I called customer service and the lady got all my information to say “someone will send you an email about 8 to 12 hrs” seriously???? theres no way I can send the project just because im not able to download the pictures, UNREAL!!

App Stinks
Took 1 hour and 30 minutes doing nothing
Live preview UI monopolizes screen real estate
Live camera preview on iPad used to be super clean UI with full-screen camera view. Several releases ago introduced a lot of persistent on screen controls when recording video. Live preview is about a third of the screen now. Completely ruined the usability of this feature. My screen preview is now larger in portrait orientation.

Change the App Back
I used the GoPro Quik app for all my video editing at my job and loved using the platform. Paid for a premium subscription. Please put the timeframe option back into the video editing. You took that option out and not video editing is way harder.
Just installed but End of Life was 2024
Why is it still in the App Store for MacOS if it is no longer supported? And it doesn’t support my Hero Black 7.
GoPro doesn't connect
Every time i want to connect to the app I have to delete my GoPro out of the System and reinstall. Such a pain. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. And I payed for this BS!! It's to a point where I don't even use my GoPro anymore because it's so annoying. And it's not like that i just delete the cameras out of the app and reinstall- NO , it takes MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS to get it to reconnect.

Takes up most phone storage
This app is really bad! I had to go to the Apple Store. I have a NEW phone and it was freezing up and not working properly at all. Come to find out this app sucks! Everything you do on it, downloading photos from go pro to app is using all the devices storage to do so. Go pro needs to make the app so the downloaded videos are saved in a storage system on their end and not on our devices. So now I pay for an app I can’t fully use at all! The only way to use this app is on a device with an abundance amount of storage or a device just for go pro stuff. The app sucks! I am a new buyer to go pro. I will not buy go pro products after this. The people who are in charge of the app and interface of this should be fired. It’s the worst I’ve ever experienced with all the glitchy issues, slow download speeds, and massive storage take issues. If you can find a good tech crew to make this app perfection do it! Because the entire crew should be gone! I have Nixon products for years and still use their apps for downloading media from camara to app to phone and not any issues like a GoPro. Please fix these issues. After leaving this review I see many other customers have the same issues.

Not for iPhone Photos Users
If you're using an iPhone and plan to transfer your GoPro footage to your iPhone's Photos app, Quik will strip the metadata, leaving all your footage dated Jan 1, 2016. This bug has been known since at least 2020, and GoPro has done nothing to fix it. GoPro's support response has been to shrug and blame third-party apps ("it's better to use the GoPro applications" — even though Quik is the GoPro app causing it) rather than acknowledge it as a bug to track.

Where did FFWD and REW go?
I used to be able to use my gopro quick app to view media on the hero 10 go pro, and I could fast forward and rewind. This allowed me to put in highlights in the video while the media was still on the go pro. I can no longer fast forward and rewind. I have to watch the whole thing from beginning to end. Is there a way to get fast forward and rewind back on the quick app?

Doesnt show time of recordings
This app is genuinely amazing. The only thing I need to give it 5 stars is for the info screen to show the time. If im trying to find a specific video at a certain time its nearly impossible. Once i download the video to the photos app I can see the time. And on the camera it shows Date and Time. But in the app it only says Captured On with the date and no time. I dont understand why you wouldny put this. The time is in the video file, but isnt shown in the info section. If you fix this Ill change to 5 stars.

Update phases out older cameras
I have an older GoPro that works just fine, still connects to everything, until I updated the app. I did the update and now no matter what I try it refuses to let the older camera connect. I’ve looked into alternatives and it seems thousands of people with older cameras are having the same issue with no success.

App crashes - no record of what’s downloaded to iPhone
When you’re downloading multiple videos and photographs to your iPhone, it repeatedly crashes and there’s absolutely no way to see what’s been downloaded to your iPhone and what hasn’t! I can understand that some apps crash but the fact there’s no record or icon indicating what’s gone and what hasn’t or a list showing what had not transferred beggars belief! Stupid waste of time.

Too Many Subscription Ads
This app is constantly trying to get you to subscribe. I’ve already paid a ton of money for the cameras—stop trying to sell me more. Can’t disable the ads either
Multi-Camera Control
The fact that this is the official GoPro App and it doesn’t have what should be an essential feature to have integrated basic control over MULTIPLE GoPro cameras is insane. So many people don’t just have 1 single GoPro and yet, this basic feature is left up to 3rd party app creators to implement.
Unreliable
I am so unhappy with this app. I pay a premium price for a premium subscription and can only get Quik to successfully auto-edit my footage about 5% of the time. Most of the time the ‘loading’ wheel just keeps spinning. Ridiculous it can’t be used on a computer.
