Not working at all anymore

Downloaded deleted and downloaded again but still getting server unavailable message. No satellites showing. Upsetting to pay for an app and have it bricked a few years later

Response from developer

With the advent of large satellites constellations the load on some servers referenced by the app have been restricted to update only when new orbital data is available. Orbital tracking will still function even if no updates are reported. To prevent the message, go to the app Settings > Preferences and turn off Auto Update and manually update as needed. Generally data only needs to be updated every few days. Also some satellite groups need URLs updated. See our support web site for more details. Please contact support if you are still experiencing issues.

no search?

What’s the point of having a huge list of satellites if I can’t search them?

Response from developer

A search function is available within a satellite group. From the satellites tab, tap the info button next to a satellite group. At the top of the screen you can search and filter on satellites of interest you wish to track.

Crash found

I was browsing the satellites when one of the satellites had so many lines it crashed the app and It kept crashing the app

Do not waste your money

Every time I open app it seems to say server unavailable tracking and passes may not be accurate. The sky view is complete garbage and I don’t even understand how to use it. Also I wish it actually explained all the types of satellites. Seems like if u pay for a satellite app it should have lots of info.

Space Junk

App is not updating all the selected satellites. All I get is the ISS and Amateur Radio. Waste of €10

Is this maintained any more?

Was a nice app but when I pulled it out recently it doesn’t appear to be updating the data for the satellites any more…

Response from developer

Some of the servers the app references have changed. Please see our support web site for how to update to the new servers. https://gosoftworks.com/apps/gosatwatch/support/

Excelente

Hasta el momento funciona excelente. CE4RWS

Does Not Sync With Other Devices Using the App

Nice and useful app. Did not give it 5 stars because it doesn’t sync across devices. Very frustrating when you’ve created several orbital elements but they only show up on one (I use the app on 3 different devices).

Best Tracking App

This is the best app on the market. You can add your own elements. Just wish it was available cross platform.

Where are you ?

Possible ? update for ACS 3 solar sat NORAD 59588 ?

Please fix

This app has recently started saying the wrong times of the iss going over.

Waited for it to pass this app claimed it was right over head but 2 other apps claimed it wasn’t visible for another 6 hours.

I used to be able to view it accurately. This has a better interface and set up than the other apps but I’m forced to use those now. Not happy after paying full whack for it

Response from developer

The app may be having trouble downloading the orbital data updates for some reason. Check the satellite group details for when the orbital data was updated last and for any network connection problem messages which can provide an indication of what the problem is. Please contact support directly so we can help investigate the issue further.

No updates in 4 years

A huge fan of this app, but hasn't had an update in 4 years and is starting to bug with the lastest ios updates.
Would love a keep using the app if it gets an update

Bad

It’s always showing that server is down and no accurate data available

No Keps update -> Server unavailble

Unfortunately no Keps update:
Server not available.

Used this great app a couple of years ago on iPhone 6 with great success, now on 15 Pro Max, disappointing due mentioned issue.

What‘s wrong?

Response from developer

Some of the servers used by the app have changed. Please see support page on how to update to the new servers: https://gosoftworks.com/apps/gosatwatch/support/

Excellent!

I desperately needed a gpredict like app on the iPhone, and here I found it!
The negative reviews here and the above average price were a little frightening at first, but please go ahead and try the free ISS tracking version of the app first and read the documentation on the developer’s website.
The app is highly configurable (to show not only the next pass but up to 9 per sat, the visibility filter can be switched off - I don’t need eye contact for ham radio purposes :) ) and most importantly new TLEs can be added easily (thus the review stating the number of sats was limited is wrong!).
Worth the price - thank you!

Va perfecta

Años con esta APP y nunca ha fallado. De las mas completas que he probado, con diferencia.
Y muchas posibilidades de visionado de los pases

If I could change one thing…

This is a terrific app for chasing amateur radio satellites. I love the globe feature which allows a visualization of the footprint as the satellite travels. The AR sky map is also extremely helpful for pointing the antenna. One minor complaint is that every once in awhile, I open the app to find several satellites added to the “passes” list that I did not select. It’s no big deal to de-select them from the “satellites” list. A major problem for me is that the “passes” list reloads every time I return from a different part of the app, or from another app altogether, such as a web browser. It makes planning satellite ops frustrating, because the hang time for reloading can be up to thirty seconds. It sounds trivial now that I’m typing, but when I’m checking transponder schedules or the AMSAT status page on a bird from the upcoming passes list, when I return to GoSatWatch “passes” page, I have to wait for it to reload all over again, which can be especially aggravating when I had scrolled quite a ways down the list, perhaps as far ahead as the next morning or afternoon. I have found the information provided by this app to be very accurate. I’m not sure I could work the birds without it. GoSatWatch is absolutely worth the cost.

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for the feedback. By default the app adds newly detected satellites to the selected list. This can be turned off from Settings > Orbital Elements > Amateur Radio > Select newly detected satellites to Off. The app also by default attempts to download the latest orbital data each time the app is opened which forces the recalculation of passes with the updated orbital data. This can be turned off in the app Settings > Preferences > Auto Update to off. This will prevent the re-calculation of passes but you will then have to remember to manually update the orbital data from the Satellites screen from time to time. Once a day in most cases is more than sufficient. Passes will still be re-calculated if you change any selection that would impact the pass calculations.

Finally, this one is the one

I was very skeptical at first for it shows the last developer activity seen on the app was two years ago, and then it being $9.99 …I was almost certain this was a mistake… I was wrong. No lie, his is actually the most solid app for satellite tracking. I’ve been using these apps for years and not one comes remotely close to this app layout/design.. Maybe Heavens Above(which is not available on the iOS App Store any longer), but this is actually better. Well done! Now I get to delete the several sat tracking apps I’ve been using.

I have used this for years … recently stopped updating data from server for some reason.
