About

Since Tatian's ad 150 Diatessaron, gospel harmonies have taken one of two approaches: either 1) blending parallel accounts into one synthesized narrative for easy reading, or 2) arranging the parallel texts side-by-side for comparison. This gospel harmony blends both of these approaches, where you can read the combined narrative, or toggle on and off the buttons above to see what each gospel reads. Gospels are color-coded so readers can quickly identify which words come from which gospel. Where wording differences are insignificant, the most natural one is chosen for the combined version, but viewing any gospel alone will show the original wording for that gospel. Where wording differences are significant, variant readings have been aligned parallel on top of each other.
