Circles need some work

Our ward uses circles for communication and it is very annoying with several bugs. Take some people from your tools team and have them work on this app.

Please fix some things, Lots of potential & very helpful for the ward!😇👍

Very helpful and all on board trying to implement in our ward because of major benefits (easy to connect with applicable councils& organizations and to get connected, oriented & informed right away in ward. Plus the added perk that anyone that this can help with retention when moving to other wards if implemented there. Nice to have lots of church related communication all in same place) However, please improve to have ability to react to messages (to like/love/laugh/etc.) ~ an easy short-hand for engaging in the conversation without blowing up the messaging thread & helps as the sender to know if people saw announcements/invites/etc. for planning purposes. But especially pleeease fix the notifications lag/update issue. For some reason, even if I’ve clicked on and viewed a message, there’s a perpetual number indicator of 1-4 messages being in circles to be viewed. It’s very confusing and counterproductive cause it means I may ignore and miss an actual update because the notifications for messages coming in are continually outdated. Thank you for your time and consideration. Really hopeful to see future improvements 🤗

Simple to use, glitchy

I love that it is simple and easy to use. I dislike the issues it has. Sometimes, I will see and get notifications on my phone, but when open the app, I can see or find the comment that was made by someone.
I have had to remove the app and redownload a few times. Again, I love the design and the set up, dislike that it’s got problems.

Circles needs work

I love that we have this app, but the circles messaging feature is missing so many things. It gets super noisy and I know a lot of people just mute it entirely so they don’t get inundated with notifications. We really need a way to message on this app with more fine grained control over who sees the message. This app is so instrumental for communication within wards in North America, so please please improve it!

Really I feel like this app has so much potential, but currently it is not useful because:
- courteous technology users are hesitant to post anything because it creates noise for everyone else on the app
- less technically savvy people don’t know messaging app manners and post all sorts of random stuff, creating noise for everyone else
- people who are fed up with the noise turn off notifications altogether
- leadership can’t get important communications out because everyone muted the app 😕

Some things I would love to see:
- a way for wards to create their own smaller channels according to their interest groups and needs, with control over membership and who can post. We need an announcement channel that only presidencies can post on. It would also be great if we could create custom channels for things like activities, book clubs, etc. that people who are interested can join without causing noise to those who don’t want it. These need to have fine grained notification control so people can decide which channels they want to get notified about.
- For heaven’s sake: PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME A NOTIFICATION FOR A THREAD I’M NOT PARTICIPATING IN! It defeats the whole point of threads. Only users who are watching a thread should get notifications for it.
- Reactions! Please please please add reactions so that people can acknowledge that they saw a post without sending a message and cluttering up the whole channel!

Please fix the bugs in circles!! It is so needed for ward communication.

I get notifications about updates in circles but the app doesn’t refresh in time to see the actual chat or event in the app, despite me closing, refreshing, updating, etc. Sometimes an activity or chat will only show up days or weeks after it was posted. Sadly, it’s just not reliable for ward communication needs.
