It’s nice to see as the app keeps getting refined and improved. They’ve made significant improvements and additions in the last six months. I appreciate that.
Room for improvement: There’s a couple things that seem not to be finished or work yet.

Worst App Ever
The functionality of this app has got to be the absolute worst I’ve ever used before. It’s slow, and has a hard time connecting to the lights.
I used to be able to create a timer for the lights, but recently the timer function on their website has stopped working. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling as well as using a different phone, but the timer feature still doesn’t work.

Firmware update problems
We just had Gouly lights installed and continuously get requests for firmware updates for the app. Despite going through the update process, we get the request over and over again. So frustrating. Additionally the app needs to be more intuitive like the gemstone app. Please Gouly app programmers get your act together!

Awesome and getting better
The best part of the app is how many different animations GOULY has developed. It’s still very Chinese but the price was right and I love my lights! Keep it up GOULY!
Worst app ever.
After downloading the upgrades, the controller won’t upgrade. After trying to upgrade you lose all your saved patterns. You spend hours trying to get the app back to where you can use it again. Shame on Lux lighting for using this app. Have tried to contact Lux lighting and Gouly, no replies from either. Very dissatisfied.

I really enjoy the new customization feature, especially the random flash mode among the four pattern options

This controller has added more features such as human body detection. We love it.

Timer GLITCH
There’s a glitch in the app when you setup the timer. It continues to glitch out if I setup a sunset/sunrise timer and when I manually schedule a timer to set times. This should not be happening especially since the developers just recently deployed a fix for the timer issue on the app.
I need to use the timer without having to deal with the lights that always turn OFF at 8:45pm after turning on at 5:30pm.
Please fix this amateur bug asap!

Love my Gouly
I’ve had Gouly lights for a couple of years now and I love them no more climbing up ladders every year they work perfect in all weather from -50C to 40C here in Alberta Canada love my Gouly :)
Now that’s better
Regretfully my vendor disappeared but I reached out to Gouly directly and they shipped a new controller to me. Installed it myself and found it to be way better than previous versions. Thanks Gouly and keep improving if you can.

Few issues:
Daylight savings doesn’t work even if we change the region. Needs fix.
Connectivity issues after resetting the controller.

New controller
This controller seems to be working much better than the old one. It has much more capability. You can set your lights to a timer and use music.
