Can’t even test it
Downloaded it. Realized it cost money, singed up for the free trial, never got any emails and never could get past the login screen. So I took time to make an account and give all my info, but I never actually got to use the free trial. Waste of my time it seems.
Great resource for traveling!
I had a great experience using the GoWhee app while visiting family and on a road trip. The coffee shop filter is a game changer!
Great family travel app
This is such a helpful app for parents traveling with kids. Game changer for us with how easy it is to find activities and family friendly places.
Cannot make it past Login Page
I was all geared up to try the app for their 3-day free trial. I verified my Gmail account, etc. Every time I went to log in, it’d bring me to the subscription page. If I x’d out, it’d bring me back to the login page which I had already logged into. If I selected the subscription again, it’d bring would give me a warning saying I was already subscribed. There was no way beyond that page. I am not going to sit around and screw with an app that won’t give me access. I’m sure you’ll figure it out at some point, but I don’t plan to return to the app. It was frustrating enough dealing with that. Not very user friendly if the user cannot get past that stage.

Sorry to hear about your experience. This was an issue with our old version; we have released the new GoWhee 2.0 since, and this has been fixed. If you ever wanted to give us a try for the V2, we would be happy to extend your trial to a full month. Let us know. Thank you for the feedback.
Pleasant Surprises
I’m blown away by the newest update. We’re an active family, but I found new things to do even in our own area - that I never knew existed! It’s been a long time favorite for travel planning, but now I need to do some digging closer to home.
Bugs with subscription trial
Edit: updated to 3 stars after developer response, thank you! Will check out again after 2.0 is out. Please fix the free trial issue though :-) This app promised a 3 day free trial but I was charged $5 right away, I didn’t get a free trial. Then, I couldn’t even sign in! The app crashed while I was trying to sign in, and it did that three times in a row. I wasn’t even able to preview any features because the app requires that you sign up for a pricey subscription right away. I love the idea of this app and hope somebody makes a community-driven app for families to find places for kids someday that is free to use with a subscription for premium features.

Useless
Downloaded this app to find good places to stop with kids for a roadtrip & it was completely useless! There is no way to route your trip. The only thing it offers is random stops previous people have logged.

For the price I don’t see this being worth it. It appears places listed are only user added. So not many places on the map.
I think it is much easier and obviously cheaper to just google.
I cancelled the free trial only mere minutes after signing up and seeing so few places on the map for large cities and none in smaller towns.

Super helpful
As a mom who travels with her tiny human sometimes it’s hard to find age appropriate things to do in cities we have never been to. GoWhee has made finding things for my daughter to do a piece of cake. I use it during the planning process of our trips as well as when we get there since new things and places are added daily. I love it!

Great for finding kid friendly locations
The app allows you to find kid friendly locations asap, without having to spend a bunch of time sifting through reviews on other platforms. I’m super excited to easily discover new locations we’ve never heard of before and to see how the app only continues to be more useful as more users add locations in.
