What's New in GPS Metrics
1.1
August 11, 2026
What's New - New maps: cleaner Streets, Outdoor and Satellite styles, with an always‑visible scale bar. Your last‑used map style is now remembered. - Speed‑coloured track with a colour legend that scales to your top speed. - Direction arrow on the map showing your GPS course; its length scales with speed and is adjustable. - Improved follow mode: pan the map freely and it returns to following after a moment. "Fit" shows your whole track, then returns to the normal zoom. - Barometric altitude as a separate reading, plus air pressure — with calibration to a known height. - Climb rate now uses the barometer for faster, smoother readings. - New metrics: Max speed, Compass accuracy and Pressure. Choose GPS or Barometer as your altitude source. - Pause/Resume button that stops all sensors to save battery; your track is kept and continues when you resume. - Reset button with an export reminder. - CSV export added, alongside GPX and KML. - NMEA output now supports UDP broadcast to every device on your network, with an in‑app setup guide. - More accurate trip distance: standing still no longer adds distance from GPS drift; metric distance shows metres below 1 km and kilometres above. - Settings reorganized, plus various power and stability improvements.
