Obrigado pelo relato. Quando a velocidade fica em 0 km/h mas outras funções como o tempo de viagem funcionam normalmente, o mais provável é que o GPS tenha tido dificuldade em adquirir sinal naquele momento. Isso pode acontecer no início de uma viagem, em locais cobertos ou com visibilidade limitada para o céu. Em condições de céu aberto, o GPS costuma ser bastante preciso. Se o problema persistir, peço que entre em contato pelo formulário de suporte dentro do app para que eu possa investigar melhor. Também pode escrever diretamente para support@speedometer.app. - João

Purchased the pro version of this app to keep track of the speed limit while I travel. App is inaccurate over 50% of the time.

Worthless to avoid speed traps.

The developers should create a learning feature where drivers can inform the app of speed limit changes!

Do it and I’ll rewrite this review.

The Picture in Picture feature is the BEST!

This app is excellent! I use the Picture in Picture feature to overlay it over my off-road Maps on my motorbike, and then I have a nice big speed widget that I can move around and still see my navigation.
Works great, and I use it often!!

Open app & find the X

Can be super dangerous this. When you open the app to check this hire car speedo accuracy, you have to tap the X to see the app. While driving!

Didn’t work, crazy upselling

Tried it. UX looks good but OMG the upselling to the pro app is seriously invasive and annoying. And to top it off it didn’t even work. Shows speed of 0 no matter what I do.

Seit Version 9 wieder gut

Ich hatte mir die App vor Jahren mal heruntergeladen, zu diesem Zeitpunkt hat sie technisch nicht funktioniert und war außerdem mit Werbung überladen. Es geschehen auf dieser Welt scheinbar auch noch gute Dinge, denn durch die Antwort des Entwicklers auf meine ursprüngliche Bewertung wurde ich auf die neue Version 9 aufmerksam und gab dem ganzen noch mal eine Chance. Und siehe da, meine Kritikpunkte wurden tatsächlich überarbeitet: Die Anzeige der Geschwindigkeit funktioniert nun ohne Probleme, je nach Lage der Strecke sogar in einem 300 km/h schnellen ICE. Die Genauigkeit des GPS wird ebenfalls angezeigt. Ebenfalls interessant ist die Anzeige der aktuellen Beschleunigungswerte aus dem Gyroskop des iPhones. Die Werbung innerhalb der App wurde reduziert, während der Benutzung keine Banner mehr im Hauptbildschirm, und es erscheint keine vollseitige Werbung mehr bei jedem Wechsel eines Menüs. Lediglich bei jedem Neustart der App und wenn man von einer anderen App zurück wechselt gibt es eine Werbung für die PRO-Version. Das ist zwar immer noch etwas lästig, aber im Vergleich zu vorher ein Meilenstein. Meine einzige Kritik an dieser Stelle wäre, dass ich gerne per Einmalzahlung die Werbung deaktivieren möchte. Ich brauche die PRO-Features nicht, ich möchte nur einfach nie wieder Werbung sehen. 44,99 € finde ich nur dafür aber zu viel, ein Abo dafür abzuschließen halte ich ebenfalls für übertrieben. Alles in allem aber schon mal eine enorme Verbesserung im Vergleich zu vorher, daher: Ehre, wem Ehre gebührt.
PS: Das Anbieten von Blitzermeldern (in der PRO-Version enthalten) halte ich erstens für moralisch fragwürdig, zweitens ist die Benutzung solcher Apps in Deutschland ohnehin verboten. Falls jetzt jemand wegen dieser Aussage in Schnappatmung verfällt, dem empfehle ich, sich erneut mit der StVO vertraut zu machen.

Es freut mich sehr, dass die Verbesserungen in Version 9 bei Ihnen angekommen sind, besonders bei der Geschwindigkeitsanzeige, der GPS-Genauigkeit und der deutlich reduzierten Werbung. Ihr Feedback zu einer günstigeren Einmalzahlung nur zum Entfernen von Werbung kann ich gut nachvollziehen und nehme ich gerne mit. Im Moment kann ich noch nicht versprechen, ob oder wann es so eine Option geben wird, aber der Wunsch ist absolut verständlich. Zum Thema Blitzermeldungen: Danke auch für den Hinweis. Die rechtliche Situation ist je nach Land unterschiedlich. Die App kann natürlich in Ländern genutzt werden, in denen diese Funktion erlaubt ist beziehungsweise kein Problem darstellt. In Deutschland darf eine solche Warnfunktion während der Fahrt nicht verwendet werden. Die Funktion lässt sich in den Einstellungen jederzeit deaktivieren, und Nutzer sollten sie nur dort und so verwenden, wie es lokal erlaubt ist. Constant spam overal to upgrade to pro is extremely frustrating. This app USED to be the best

As the title says. Every single time you bump your phone press something on the app. I'll have to restart the app just constant spamming and putting the upgrade overlay over the top of the speedo when you need it most

Why track gps in background

This app didn't offer an "Only while running" option for GPS tracking so I removed it. The app has been updated and now you can select Only While Running for location data so I’m trying it once again.

Really liked the app for checking my speedo, however it’s gotten to a point where, whenever I open it, it plays an ad that just never finishes. I have to continuously close and open the app like ~10 times for an ad that I can close. Takes too long to serve it’s purpose, will just look for another app.
