About
GPS Track Log records your route with iPhone location data — walking, cycling, cars, boats, highways, and flights — and exports to GPX or KML.
■ What you can do
• Start, pause, and stop recording, with a live map, waypoints, notes, and photos
• Distance, time (moving time, excluding pauses), point count, and steps (steps are a walking estimate)
• On the track detail screen, save as GPX or KML, or send the file from the share sheet
• Adjust recording for general use, boats, fast ground travel, aviation, and more. Automatic mode switching is available
• Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (depends on device and iOS settings). Pause from the Lock Screen can be turned on or off
• Saved track list, rename, and speed / elevation charts
• Settings for recording interval, filters, appearance, map, and speed units. Optional auto-stop when you return home
■ How recording works
• Each mode uses different assumptions for slow and fast movement.
• Indoors or near buildings, unlikely jumps are filtered out from the start (adjustable).
• When the signal is weak, an optional setting can fill gaps (walking and heading on foot; direction of travel in a vehicle). Measured and filled points are shown in different colors on the map.
■ Data
Tracks and photos stay on your iPhone. Export GPX or KML from track detail and send them with the share sheet.
■ Notes
Requires iOS 17 or later. Position and distance depend on conditions. Background recording needs Location set to Always.
■ Ads
A banner at the top of the start screen. A consent prompt may appear depending on your region.

What's New in GPS Track Log
1.1.3
October 8, 2026
The track list stays smoother even when you have many saved tracks. You can also filter by date on a calendar. • The track list is lighter, so scrolling and switching screens is less likely to stall. • Pick a day on the calendar to see only the tracks recorded that day. • You can also change the display language in Settings.
