The GR is the most convenient camera in production. This app is the most inconvenient and invasive app imaginable given the cameras it’s made for. RICHO, we gave you thousands of dollars for a camera made in China. We didn’t buy it so we could give away personal information over and over again. “Data not linked to you”? But your app is linking us to you over and over again to extract it!

To open app at all - you have to give gr access to your entire existing iPhoto library history.

Enhances Best Street Photography Cameras
Ricoh has done a nice job of fixing the bugs in earlier versions of the app.
The app easily connects using both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
GR World adds useful functions to the best street photography pocket cameras.
GPS tagging of photos is a nice feature.
Syncing the camera with the iPhone date and time provides a huge help for photographers on the move globally, that is crossing time zones and the international dateline.
Copying photos to the iPhone works fine, but have not done this much.
The app appears to be very stable. Thanks.

2026.06.15日現在GR4での転送時RAW撮影データが途中で途切れる通信が途切れて失敗する。再インストールしたが改善しないので修正して下さい。

Privacy concerns
It is impossible to use the app without granting it full access to photos. This is a huge privacy issue. Granting photo access to the app allows the developers to read all photos, including any sensitive and photo not taken by Ricoh camera.

Everything works
Everything’s works on my GR iv, Remote works, photo import works. just took me a bit of time to figure it where to click. Needs better instructions!!

So terrible
I legit don’t understand how camera apps are this bad. I’ve had success about 5% of the time transferring photos. Honestly just don’t make an app if it’s this bad. Just makes me hate this company
So bad that you should consider another camera
The app is so horrible at the very basic functionality like pairing, re-connecting, and remembering which camera it is paired to. In fact, the app is so poorly made that I’m going to return my camera. I’ve used cameras from almost all major brands, and the Ricoh app is the most horrendous one by a wide margin

Uninspired app
Interesting camera but this app needs a total makeover
2.1 is Great
All the other reviews might be dated, but 2.1 version I have been using is fast. Faster than the Leica Foto app and is extremely easy to use.
审美很棒，但能不能增加RAW编辑功能
相机内置RAW编辑并且还能更换滤镜的体验真的很棒！但是打开app图片库却无法快速编辑RAW文件，有点失望…如果加上这个功能就是完美的了！还有一个致命问题就是在App中浏览照片，画面会很模糊，看不清楚。
Unstable & Buggy
I usually don’t leave reviews, but the experience with this app has been so bad I had to leave it. You can sometimes do basic things like transferring photos really slowly, but trying to do things like firmware update is impossible. Should really fire the whole development for this app and start over.

Location services
App is constantly trying to acquire location information even while it’s not being used. I’ve had to turn off location services anytime I’m not transferring images or I’ll keep getting notified it’s acquiring location information when I try to open other apps. Very creepy and annoying.
Haven’t been able to connect once.

抬腕唤醒以及固件更新问题
1.我的机器是gr4 monochrome，目前没在任何地方找到有关抬腕唤醒的说明，但是我自己使用过程中发现，只要链接gr world才会开启这个功能，并且也没有开关控制关闭。2.我在官网上看见支持通过gr world更新固件但是我已经下载了最新版本的也没有这个功能，系统是ios26.4。希望开发者可以回复一下我这两个问题。
