MUCH improved!

Huge thanks for the recent changes, like History. It’s so much more user friendly! Would you consider making the dates (year) more visible or add back sequence numbers, so that you can see which sermon to listen to next as they were preached? Example under Revelation. He preached that several times over the years.

Thank you

Please fix. I love listening to the sermons but it seems to be stuck at the sermons starting at “I”. Thank you.

Thanks for the app!

I love that I can listen to the sermons either in the order of date it was preached or by specific books.

I am hoping though that while scrolling down the transcript to follow along, if you click out of that screen for something else (the audio is still going) and then come back to the screen it will show you where you’d left off previously?

Kind of like, if you read the comments of a YouTube video on your phone on the Chrome browser (and not the YouTube app) once you’ve been somewhere else and come back you are on top of all the comments again. But if you read the comments on the app, it will stay where you last left off scrolling.

Also (I haven’t done this very recently but in previous versions of the app) I tried adding videos on the playlist (a feature in this app) hoping the next one in order will play automatically so I don’t have to maneuver the screen while driving, but it did not work that way at the time. (Now I stick with browsing by date cuz I enjoy listening to the sermons in the order they were preached) I wonder if you plan to add such features in the future.

About listening to the sermons by date, (I randomly started in the middle of 1989 after tracing back from a radio broadcast back to the original message and now working through November 1991 sermons)

It would be kind of nice if the drop down would stay at 1991 and not always shoot back up to 2024 — but that might be a tall order I understand, not sure if I’d seen that in any other websites.

Overall, just wanted to thank you running this app even though Pastor John MacArthur is no longer with us on this earth to preach fresh sermons or record new openings or interviews for the radio broadcast. Thanks for your stewardship — though I am not able to donate at the moment and feel bad about always, I want to express my sincere thanks for the workers at Grace to You and for donors who give for beneficiaries like me..
God bless you and thank you for the wonderful app ((:

Great resource

Strong bible reaching John MacArthur was a pillar for the faith. Strong in biblical truth and teaching from the word of God.

Awesome app

The app currently has been updated much easier to go back to where you were on playbacks if you start a book, you can go right back to it. Also, the text to follow along was updated much bigger pop up page now it doesn’t get bumped out as easy now that it’s full page.

Faithful to God’s word

If you are looking for preaching and resources that stay true to Scripture, this is it. The sermons, daily readings and lots of the resources on the Grace to you app have served to encourage me through deeply challenging times and have helped me grow on truth that stand the test of time as against sermons that misrepresent the gospel. Thank you for your faithful ministry!

I like it now. Didn’t at first.

It took me awhile to figure this app out compared to the original one. Now, I like it. I like how the sermon archive is set up. The ONLY thing I don’t like is that when I download the audio it doesn’t do it in sequence. And they don’t play one right after another. I like
Falling asleep to his sermons and enjoy hearing it when I wake up in the middle of the night. Or when I am working. I own a business that I work with my hands and taking a break to find a new sermon is kinda rough. Gets my phone all dirty. If those two things could
Change it would be perfect.

Truth In Your Pocket

The ability to listen to endless amounts of sermons that speak the truth has made a profound impact on my life. This app is wonderful.

It’s Fixed!

The app can now save watch history and does not forget where you last left off listening to a sermon. It’s back to the way it use to work before everything was changed.

Updates have fixed the issues I had

Getting better

When this new app came out it had issues, and it needs some tweaks, but it’s much, much better.

Why the 3.5 rating?? It’s great!

Really nice app and tons of source material. Nicely done!

Content is Awesome but UI is lacking

My only issue is the UI. I enjoy the sermon archive where I listen based on bible book and chapter. I am constantly going to this part of the app. I wish the app either made the link to this on the top of the first page or made it easier without scrolling. The web version is worse. I have to dig for the sermon archive link using web mobile version. The transcripts are really only usable on the web version. On the app it is on a floating overlay that will close I you touch anywhere off it loosing the scroll position. Then you have to start over and find where you left off. So I end up using the web version more often. I also wish the app maintained the state so when it was opened it would return for instance to the sermon archive. How do you pause the audio or back it up while following with the transcript? You can’t! Groan, you need two devices, one to listen on and the other to read on. This is not designed by a user that uses the app!

Wonderful App

When the new/updated app was released, I was devastated that some of the wonderful features had disappeared. I’m so happy to now see my recently listened to sermons in my history and I’m able to pick up right where I left off in the study. Wonderful work to the entire Grace to You team. It just took a little while to work out some kinks, I’m sure. Thank you, sincerely, that you do not peddle the Gospel like so many. I pray this and other resources remain free for all who come in future generations. What a wonderful resource with a wealth of sound doctrine to be mined and digested. Thank you for your ministry!

Please fix

The old app allowed me to resume a sermon I was listening to, but this new app doesn’t do this. Several other reviews mention the same problem. I miss the old app. It was much easier to use and navigate. It is much harder to search for sermons I want to find.

Life changing

God bless the ones behind the creation of this app

Listening Mama

As a busy mom I am so grateful for the Grace to You app because it allows me to listen anywhere, anytime. It keeps track of what I’ve listened to which is so helpful to me. The app continues to improve so don’t give up on it! It keeps getting better!! Thank you Grace to You for your faithfulness.

Exceptional.

When GTY first made the jump to the new app platform, many of us missed the familiarity with the old. However, with the updates, the excellent sharpness of this biblical tool has increased even greater than the prior platform. BY A LONGSHOT. Please do not shy away from downloading this app. It will be a blessing to you and your family.
