What's New in Gradients RGB

1.0.2

August 22, 2026

The app now opens with a question instead of a menu. COLOR IQ TEST Five colors, about a minute, one number. You get a rating from 0 to 1000, where you land against everyone else, and a map of how your own eye reads red, green and blue — including which channel you consistently overshoot. Retake it any time; ordinary play keeps the rating moving in between. DUELS BY LINK Play a set of colors, then send the link. Your friend gets the exact same colors, whether or not they already have the app. No accounts, no matchmaking, and nobody has to be online at the same time. MATCH THE WORLD Point the camera at a sunset, a wall, someone's jacket. The app measures the real color inside the frame and you rebuild it by eye. Infinite levels, made by the world. SHARE ANY RESULT Every result screen now makes a card you can actually send someone — your score, the target, your attempt, and how far apart they really were. HUE, SATURATION, BRIGHTNESS The sliders switch between RGB channels and HSB dials, and every track now previews what moving it will do. Pick whichever your eye thinks in. REAL COLOR SCIENCE Accuracy is now measured with CIEDE2000, the same color-difference formula used in professional calibration, and shown as a ΔE alongside every score. MORE VARIED COLORS Targets used to cluster in the same band of medium mud because each channel was drawn independently. They are now spread deliberately across vivid, pastel, deep, muted, bright and dark families. FIXES - The color you submit is now exactly the color that gets scored. A rounding error could shift a channel by one step on its way to the server, which is why a perfect match sometimes came back imperfect. - Targets always sit on the same steps the sliders move in, so a perfect 1000 is genuinely reachable. PRO, ONE PAYMENT Pro is now available as a single purchase instead of only a subscription.
