AI
Well, as much as I paid for it, it better be good. That's exactly what.
excellent app!
This app has changed my life. All I can say is that it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. I feel like a confident writer in a professional setting, and in addition to all the other features that it provides, I did the yearly subscription, and it has helped me significantly.
Really useful
Very helpful for me; since I have dyslexia, it really works well to boost my writing. Grammarly is even more worth it if you have Premium because it gives you more benefits and devices. If you can't type in a hurry, there's also a speaking option that auto-edits as you talk. Overall a great app
Rewriter is a 🦤
I never would have called Grammarly a world-class proofreader—not the free version. That doesn't mean it's bad: it still catches basic errors and misspellings while not trying to correct obscure words (Dsungaripterus). It also provides synonyms for words like a thesaurus (a Thecondontosaurus). Beyond that, the "good" features—e.g., revising awkward phrasing—are locked, but that's to be expected, though calling the app a "free writing tool" is a bit of a stretch.
The AI rewriter has . . . uh, issues. It has all the issues it had before a huge update (and, I think, a buyout) changed it fundamentally, as well as some more. It still tends to change not just the wording of a paragraph—as it's supposed to do—but also the meaning, especially when the original paragraph was slightly off-the-wall. I noticed this because I used to feed the rewriter my wackiest paragraphs to see what it would do with them. However, this is much harder now that the AI is slower, has fewer options, and (cruelest of all) is only free to use once or so per day. Once! Well, I can still create one bad inspirational speech per day.
