Good Strategy Game (With Bad Downsides)
This game has the perfect blend of being historically detailed and accurate, tactical, yet not too complicated at the same time. I also like how the game slowly introduces you to all the features instead of throwing them in your face. It kind’ve reminds me of World Conquerer IV the WWII game except it’s Rome. That’s what I said in my last review, but if you play this game up to the later chapters, you will realize the scaling and difficulty is a little bit extreme. The enemy will always upscale you by a few levels at best, and it feels like the only way to win is to spend money. Or watch adds. For 5 gold coins every 60 seconds. I still love the strategy, and I’m very surprised at how detailed they can make it in a hexagonal turn-based game, but it feels like I have to either spend money or become Napoleon or something to beat the levels. Even early on with the Phyric Wars, the enemy always upscaled me, and kept regenerating. Especially that GOLDEN ELEPHANT. This game will turn me into an elephant poacher because of that experience, and the difficulty only gets worse from there. Also, the prices for anything are insane.

Exceptional game
Excellent game - hard to conquer opponents forces ingenuity. Great graphics, huge range of units available and many variants based on history/culture.
