I have been using Granola for two days and I can already tell that its ability to capture and summarize only the salient components of a meeting will be life changing. If this is what I am getting on the free tier, I can only imagine how much value the paid tiers will deliver. I am definitely upgrading.

When starting a recording my watch plays a notification sound to let everyone know I’m recording… I don’t need or want that…deleting the app…
Accurate
Simply record your meeting using granola, end the meeting, and granola will create accurate notes along with action items. Pretty neat!

I don’t have to write a thing down or remember anything.
I can just be present for my team, my business strategy, and my mental health.

Tolle Arbeitserleichterung
Ich finde diese Software richtig gelungen und toll. Einige Kleinigkeiten kann man sicherlich noch verbessern aber das ist absolutes Jammern auf extrem hohem Niveau. Aus meiner Sicht gibt es trotzdem fünf Sterne, weil es eine richtige Arbeitserleichterung ist und man bekommt 3 Stunden Meeting in 5 Minuten zusammengefasst. Das ist echt perfekt.
Ebenfalls gut gelungen ist die KI Funktion für nachträgliche Fragen und Ausarbeitungen.

Forced google sign in
I can not sign in with my email. Since I reject to sign in with google or Microsoft (which I do not use), I will never know if this is any good.

Thank you for this app, I hope it stays free forever and won’t become a freemium scam ever. I only wish I could download the app on my Apple Watch SE 1st gen (I have WatchOS 10 and the minimum required is 11, if you guys can do something about it it would help a lot!!) 5 stars anyways

My title said enough.
No Apple Sign In
You have Google, Microsoft and SSO sign in options but no Apple Sign In. That’s unfortunate and the reason I can’t use your service. Those two companies are low on many peoples trust in security. Apple has shown levels of respect to its users data that wins my trust, especially for what your product does.
If you ever get Apple Sign In, I will give this a look over.
Otherwise I will just record my audio in any free audio recording app, and drop the file into Ollama to transcode and create entries in my “Open Brain” for further evaluation or follow up.

Wanted to Love It
on a test recording on apple watch, the “transcript” said it was just a test and try a real conversation etc…so it subjectively decided my test wasn’t worth transcribing? yikes
Watch app clunky
Granola Watch app has a dealbreaker flaw that needs fixing - once you start recording, your Apple Watch becomes a "granola watch" - use any other feature (look at a text, set a timer, check the date, etc.), and it stops recording! You can restart it when you're done looking at the text.... but
1) you just created a 'hole' in your meeting notes.
2) you need two more clicks to get back into the meeting recording again.
Ideashell app that I don't love either... at least has this feature where the meeting recording does not stop while using the rest of your watch, until you tell it to stop.
Granola - this is an easy fix! I love the granola phone app... but day 1 of watch app needs this fix.
