I have found Granola app excellent in how it captures notes. Summaries gives key information and insights
Genuinely mindblowing
Catches even the smallest details, if you can hear the person it can hear them. Used it for an extremely complex microbiology and molecular genetics seminar which included very complex science vernacular, abriviations, and language. It captured it all perfectly. Love it cant get enough of it please keep it free. I would watch ads if I had to.

Free version transcription block of unreadable text
I wanted to try an AI to transcribe meetings for my nonprofit, since it is legally required, and would simplify note taking. The summary Granola AI created is great, but is no better than any other generic AI tool. The transcription seemed to work well too, but the free version is setup so that if you export, or copy/paste, you lose 100% of the formatting and end up with a massive unreadable block of text. You can use other AI tools to at least separate different speakers, but different dialogue from an individual speakers is still all mashed together in a massive paragraph (imagine if some one presents for awhile). As well, there is no functional, like a scroll bar, to allow users review the transcript in the app, so you can only see the last few lines of dialogue from the meeting. My guess this is all to incentivize people to buy upgrades, but if an app cannot perform the basics, why would I expect upgrades to be better. After looking around at tools, I am disappointed such a highly rated app performed so poorly, and I would recommend Granola rethink offering a free version with such limitations.

Amazing at taking detailed notes!
I’ve been using this app to take notes for my brainstorming sessions as an author. As I discuss my ideas aloud, the app listens to everything I say and then gives me a very detailed breakdown of everything I’ve said.

Excellent resource
Accurately transcribes lectures, conversations etc. Even when the speaker has a thick accent, the app accurately gives a beautiful outline.
Very clever note taking app
Really easy to use and genuinely useful. Granola doesn’t just transcribe conversations, it organises notes intelligently, and you can easily search them or ask questions.
I use it for work, especially 1:1s, as well as personal calls and appointments. The iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad apps are all great. It’s become an app I use daily.
The only thing stopping it being 5 stars is organisation. I’d love to see better folders, sections and subfolders for managing a growing number of notes.

It’s okay, does the job
It’s pretty decent if you want fast notes but for overall longer recording and meeting notes I personally disliked it. And I don’t like the way it summarizes things and misses things in those longer recordings. I also wish it kept the original recordings too. It needs improvement overall with the summary in my opinion there are better options out there.

Worked ok for the for couple of meeting. Had an important meeting and the transcript failed. I can get better and more consistent notes from the voice recorder on my phone. Wish I could give it less than one star.

Amazing I’ve been using chat gpt in 10 min sessions to record things and keep notes and dictate this is very clean and easy and I use the chat GPT plug in to auto store notes in a project that allready has instructions on how to interpret and use

It’s been a long journey trying out various apps, but I finally found one that captures the essence of the meetings and documents things accurately. I don’t have to edit the final notes much. This is a great feeling!

Life changing
I have been using Granola for two days and I can already tell that its ability to capture and summarize only the salient components of a meeting will be life changing. If this is what I am getting on the free tier, I can only imagine how much value the paid tiers will deliver. I am definitely upgrading.
