I use this app every day to log all the little good things that happen to me. I then read them throughout the day. This app has changed my life.
Terrible app
Lost 20 months of detailed data this week and zero customer service: no reply to messages. 🤯 The contact form on website doesn’t work. 👎🏽 Would never trust an app like this again. I’ll write my entries in my iPhone notes app from now on. 😱📲
Simple, Effective, Works
Grateful is simple and effective. It does exactly what is needed in a gratitude journal. They don’t seem to have the one-off purchase option anymore but with an app this good Idon’t mind paying a small subscription.
Used to be good… then they changed their fee structure
I used and loved this app for many years after upgrading it with a one-time fee for life. Now, it’s been changed to monthly or yearly subscriptions and I cannot enter any more posts unless I upgrade again. I’ve sent a few emails to find out what’s going on, but no answer sadly.
Disappointed
I was a big fan of the app and bought it long ago. A recent update to the app does not allow me to restore my purchase and is pushing to subscription. I have tried to contact the customer service multiple times since August and have heard nothing. It is truly frustrating that everything is now subscription base and that they don't honor the purchases of the past. Unfortunately this is an app I will no longer use or recommend.

6 years of entries lost
I have used this app since 2019 and would have recommended it, but they just updated their pricing structure and my preexisting subscription is no longer active. I have no way to access my entries without paying a new subscription fee.
Support is nonexistent; my email messages are being ignored. I might consider re subscribing at the new rate but I don’t trust them to not increase rates and lock me again out until I cough up more money.

Thievery
I once was a big fan of this app — in fact, all the apps from this developer. Then they got greedy.
Their Growth Bundle provided reasonable pricing for all of their apps and I've been a subscriber for five years. But my recently-renewed subscription is no longer active in any but one of the 10 apps I use — and I'm being gouged to the tune of $340+ every year if I want to continue using them.
Developer support is nonexistent; my email messages are being ignored. Given the plethora of reasonably-priced apps that do what this app does, you're better off looking someplace else.

Developers Unresponsive
I’ve had an issue with this app since the update and have emailed multiple times and have not received a response. This was a beautiful app BEFORE it was sold. The company that owns it now just want your subscription dollars with no desire to be responsive or helpful with the product. Would give it zero stars if I could.

Cash grab scam
Had this app since 2020. Documented years of my life. Came back recently — “only 15 entries for free users” and every option to export or backup your data just prompts you to pay them money. The reviews from people who actually bought the sub say they have to pay again/more. So they literally are just trying a last ditch effort to take in money before selling data and disappearing. STAY AWAY!

The Lock out
So disappointed, I’ve been happy with this app for more than two years and one day not long ago i found I was locked out unless I’m willing to pay. So all of my posts and photos now belong to you guys unless I delete them all individually. Nice. I emailed twice just to confirm and received no response.

i’ve tried to email the developers multiple times and have received no answer. i previously bought the premium version of this app and now it won’t install anymore. it’s so frustrating.

Warning to others….. I lovED this app! A couple of years ago paid a “one time premium upgrade… a one time fee” I am regularly using and without warning i went to access and they have now locked me out of my account and requesting additional payment to access previous entries / to keep using! Won’t return my emails. Poor form! Very Disappointing.

Great but…
This app is great and simple and I have been using it for a while. I have recently upgraded to the pro version again, after I got an offer to do so for $5.99/year. However, I got charged the full $29.99 and no one responded to me when I inquired about this. It is a shame because this seems dishonest and shady. I won’t be supporting this app going forward.

Used to be great, now upgrade not honoured and does not work
I used to love this app. The simplicity is what I loved so I upgraded to the premium version for a one time cost.
Then the app started promoting hard a bundle of other apps I don’t need.
Then the app moved to a subscription model taking away my ability to use it in any way behind a subscription even though I previously paid to upgrade.
The developer has not responded to my email help request.
I no longer trust this developer, and I strongly recommend finding a different app.

You have to pay
I have been using this app for over 3 years for free and now I all of a sudden have to pay. I used to have access to all of the features. All of my journal entries are now just stuck in this app. They won’t respond to my email.
No App Support
Been using this app for years, back when you could buy a lifetime subscription. It regularly “forgets” I purchased the lifetime subscription and I have to restore purchase.
This time, restore purchase isn’t working, and my attempts to reach out to three (!) different email addresses for support have gone unanswered after almost two weeks.
And yes, I’ve had the app randomly delete all my entries in the past like other reviews have said, too. It was restored, but right now I can’t back up my entries because the app doesn’t recognize my lifetime purchase.
Don’t buy this app; its competitors have better support, and the aesthetics of Grateful aren’t worth the headaches.

Crooks
I paid for this app several years ago and am now being forced to become a monthly subscriber! Reached out to customer service and nothing. So tired of these apps taking advantage of their legacy customers. It used to be an app I recommended to others — never again. Deleted!
Unimpressed I was forced to lose my data
The app refused to accept my passcode. It was unusable. To fix the problem I deleted the app and reinstalled it. But my entries are gone.
