My Favorite Mental Health Moment of the Day!

Looking back at my entries, many with images, I’m flooded with evidence that I have so much to be grateful for!

I adore the inspiring pops up quote after I post in this private sanctuary.

Thanks Steve Pearson! So grateful for you, your App, and GratefulDay Podcast!

Still so irritated

I got this app way, WAAAAYYY back when it was free and used it religiously. Then, one day it changed to a paid version and all my entires were gone! Everyone at Gratitude said you could recover your entries but my account was never recovered and they said they had no record of me having an account. For some reason I’ve still kept the app all these years but have never been able to log in again without starting over with the paid version, and I certainly never got my years of entries back, which is very disappointing. That experience has made me wary of trusting the paid version, so I just never bought it. I wish I had just written it all in a physical journal because it would have been so nice to revisit those memories all these years later.

Disappointed

I used this app for years. I just checked it today, after an extended absence, and can’t get in it without subscribing. I’m very disappointed that all my notes over the years are gone.I am on a fixed income so even $12 a year can mean whether or not I get my medicines. I thought this was free forever when I signed up.

DO NOT UPDATE THE APP.

My original review seems to have been deleted. Interesting. So I’ll say it louder for the new owners/developers of this app. You repeatedly claim that this app has “never promised it would be free FOR LIFE”. (Emphasis my own) Which is a cute little tap dance around the fact that you know you are shafting users of this app who downloaded this app years and years ago under the REPEATED claims of Carla that this app should be downloaded because it is free! That this is a free app! And she wants everyone to download and use it because it is simple and FREE! Don’t download this app. Before, it was simple, cute, and fun. But this is nothing more than a gratitude journal. You don’t need anything fancier than a scrap piece of paper and something to write with to jot down what you are grateful for. Anything more than that is a greedy money grab. Which is what this app now is.

DO NOT UPDATE THE APP

I have been using this app for YEARS, and with this new update its functionality has been placed behind a paywall. When this app was created, it was with the promise that it was a FREE app. This is a real betrayal of loyal users of the app. Incredibly disappointing.

This App got me back

After I got smashed in corporate I needed a way to find the path. This App allowed me to thank the Great Organising Designer , often. It worked - the Lord heard me and my pathway has been blessed ever since. Thank you Carla.

Grateful for this App

I love that I can use this on my iPhone, iPad and now my Mac.
It's a great app and I know it they really value our privacy and don't sell our data. That means a lot. When I have to contact support when I got a new phone I just needed to reinstall the app so it was a simple fix. They are not owned by a big company so it feels like a hearfelt project. I use it almost everyday and love reflecting back on old journal entries! 5 Stars for sure

One gripe

Not to sound ungrateful but - If you don’t give it access to your photo album it keeps an annoying message up perpetually telling you to go to settings and allow access. It’s really bothersome and unnecessary

useless

Response from developer

Thank you for your review. Your feedback is much appreciated even in its brevity. May your gratitude journey be a rewarding one that improves your wellbeing in the long run. Wishing you all the best life has to offer. I’m sorry you find our app useless, please contact us if we can help you navigate themes, personal reminders, daily inspirational quotes, saving photos to your private journal, being able back up to PDF’s, having access to a private podcast and community and not to mention where your personal information is never sold or your privacy sold. Best of luck to you. Kind regards Steve

Love this app so much!

This app is honestly amazing. I’ve been using it to write down little things I’m thankful for, and it really helps shift my mindset. One of my favorite things is that you can customize the themes!

Also, it’s literally the only app my parents are okay with me using because it’s super safe, no weird stuff, no ads, just good vibes.

If you want something positive, personal, and actually helpful, this is it.

Love the MAC Version

So glad they added the Mac version so I can use my daily computer to update the app. Great upgrads and the new subscription is definitely worth it.

A beautiful, private, and life‑changing gratitude journal

GratefulDay’s Gratitude app is a standout—clean design, thoughtful prompts, and gentle reminders make it easy to reflect daily. I love how effortlessly I can capture what I’m thankful for, and exporting entries as PDFs means I’ll never lose a memory. The 30‑day free trial helped me fall in love with it, and the $12/year subscription is a small price for continuous updates and strong data privacy. In a world of cluttered apps, this one remains beautifully simple and secure. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a daily boost of positivity!

Special memories! Intuitive, easy, & fun

I love using this app so much. I enjoy skimming back over my year and love the new feature of downloading my entries! Thank you for all the upgrades and creating a special place to record my memories!

Life Changing But Now Clunky

This was the best gratitude app, using it years ago was life changing for me. It was so simple. Now every time I add a line the screen bounces, it wants access to my pictures. Please make an option to disable the app asking me for access to my camera roll all the time. PLEASE! 🙏

Lost entries

I used to love this app as a way to practice daily gratitude and look back at previous entires. When I recently upgraded my phone and logged in to my account, my journal was missing the last 3.5 years of my entries. The company has been unresponsive to my emails for assistance in recovering my entries. I’m highly disappointed and feel betrayed. A refund on the subscription will never replace those entries.

The power of Gratitude - thanks to GD

I started using this Gratitude App in 2014 when Carla White launched it. Since then, all my entries have been preserved and ported into the new (paid) version. The App has enabled me to tap into the power of saving Thank you to the Great Organising Designer, who blesses me every day since 4 May 2014.

Previously paid for now now access!

I purchased this app several years ago and had logged a lot that I wanted to record and reflect on in the future. But now I can’t access anything and it’s requiring a monthly fee when I had already paid for it. Total bait and switch. I just want to have access to what I already paid for. I’d be happy to revise the review if resolved, I just want my access back.

Thank you

Thank you for the time I did have with this app where it was enjoyable, I am saddened that you have chosen to take it down a route where it forces a subscription on users I’m sure you have your own reasons for doing this. It would’ve been nice though if it had been an optional extra. Although I do think the app is great, sadly the subscription will prevent me from using it now.

No longer free

The app is no longer free! Loved the simple design & functions. It spit out an inspiring quote when you were done entering for the day. But now logging in this morning seems I have to pay $12.99. That is a hefty price and the app is not with that price.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Had this app at its inception. Then the creator decided to paywall it. But if we hadn’t used it in awhile and forgotten passwords/usernames, tough…she refused to send them! They also used to allow a Twitter sign in.

In essence, I lost years worth of entries because there isn’t a download/export option.

Use Day One! They’re actually trustworthy!
