Information overreach
This app doesn’t work unless I give it access to my entire photo library. Why does your company need access to 50k photos of my family just to operate this expensive and mediocre telescope?? Doesn’t even work with partial permissions and ability to add photos even though they say that’s what they do. What they’re doing is grabbing privacy data - ridiculous.

Une application tout simplement extraordinaire ! Grâce à Gravity de Vaonis, j’ai pu découvrir les étoiles et même observer la Lune de très près, avec une facilité incroyable. L’application est intuitive, les réglages sont rapides et la prise en main est bluffante. Les résultats dépassent l’entendement, c’est magique de pouvoir “toucher du doigt” l’astronomie et de la partager en famille. À 45 ans, je prends un plaisir immense à explorer le ciel comme si c’était une nouvelle passion. Merci infiniment à la société Vaonis pour ces produits exceptionnels qui ouvrent les portes de l’univers à tous.

Can’t get camera aligned
Still haven’t ever been able to use this over priced thing

App is slow, doesnt track planets stars etc. Hestia is not worth the money.

Why on earth does this app require FULL access to all photos? You only need the limited access to be able to add a photo to my phone from the app.

Compliqué pour un novice de faire de beaux clichés, je cherchais quelque chose de simple d’utilisation… ce n’est pas le cas… déjà juste positionné correctement un iPhone pro max sur l’appareil est compliqué, j’ai passé des heures à peaufiner les réglages pour des résultats très médiocres…
Long-time amateur astronomer & loving it!
Software keeps getting better and better; the Hestia is an impressive device indeed! Highly recommend to anyone enthused by astronomy, especially educators and students! Produced phenomenal photos of the 2024 total eclipse and impressive deep-sky shots (including M30 and NGC457). Cannot wait to capture more. Clear skies!

Pretty good
It’s not bad for a new app and works well with the scope. Could really do with allowing camera function to allow shutter remote. If you try at the moment it just adjusts the volume.
So Disappointed
I got the Vaonis Hestia and struggled for hours trying to take a picture of the moon. Installed several times but when I try and find the moon, BLACK SCREEN. I line it up right, install and line up the camera but black screen. Ready to return the whole thing. Thought this would be easy but this app stinks.

Needs access to the whole photo library?
This is fishy or lazy. An iOS app does not need that kind of access for storing and loading its own images. Please fix this.
Latest update broke tracking on IOS
This app used to be pretty solid for me, but that latest update 1.4.6 broke deep sky tracking for me.

Must give full photo access?!!
App won’t let you past the legal consent page unless you give FULL access to all your photos. Limited or selected access won’t work. So non starter will never know.

I finally received my Hestia. They sent it to the wrong address first time around. So No eclipse viewing for me. Though I could have lived with that. Super excited to get this and set it up only to find out they want access to all my photos and videos. Yeah not happening! What a waste. Hope they fix the app soon and change that or I’ll be selling mine unused on eBay by months end.

It works. Kinda.
I actually had no intention of using this app with the Hestia. I figured camera app would be good enough. Low and behold, native iPhone 15 camera will try and auto swap lens’. So I just went ahead and downloaded this app. The tutorials and setup were quite informative. I was able to get it going. However, the app auto crops the pictures, all my finished photos were at a low 1megapixel quality. I saw no way to increase the photo quality in the app or in the settings. I actually used this for the eclipse, so most of my pictures ended up looking like pixelated digital zooms instead of nice closeups I would expect from an iPhone 15.
