Efficient and pleasant to use
Select two modes of 6- or 14-word puzzles. It then gives the option of either a simple definition for each or a comprehensive portal for definitions of the words until you’re comfortable to attempt the crossword. No word bank! If you forget you must use a clue or start over, but these low stakes decisions keep the game from focusing on anything but learning the vocabulary. The words ARE similar to what I see on practice tests. The interface is easy and pleasant to look at. 5 stars. :)

Won't let me type
Seems like this app is meant for iphones, but I've had apps like that still work as they are supposed to when I use them on my ipad. This app won't let me type in the squares for the crossword puzzles, so this app is useless for me.

really great concept, doesn’t work!!
i’ve tried this app on my phone and ipad cause im in love with the idea however it never lets me type directly into the app to answer the crossword! the fact that this essentially functioning doesn’t work ruins an otherwise lovely app concept. wish it was fixed so i could type things into the app! please advise.

I’m already getting more confident with one or two crosswords a day. The puzzles are pretty hard, but it’s easy to get hints without ruining the challenge.
