Great Falls Tribune = Best Montana Daily Newspaper!!

Perfect for iPad.

News at its Best!

Great Falls Tribune reports accurate and diversified stories. We love waking up to a newspaper on the porch, but love the app for our “on the go” lifestyle.

I’m not a sports fan!

There isn’t much to read in the Tribune if you aren’t a sports fan especially if the few sports you follow are local. We read the obituaries and the comics and word games. Sad to say but everything else is available for free online and is more current. A lot of what is news is printed twice..

But is it not inevitable? The newspaper and the local grocery and corner gas station? The evolution of society.

GFT app

This app lets you enjoy reading the Great Falls Tribune an entirely new way! Scally man

News

There is plenty of coverage of national and local stories!

Local News

The Great Falls Tribune is just a fraction of the paper it was. I do appreciate having more local news again; however, the sports scores of our local athletes continue to be either a few days late or missing. The reporters are working hard to report local news, but they need more support in terms of more reporters, etc.

GFT

Used on an Ipad. It works just fine.

Local and State News

I wish there was more local and state news

Love the GFTribune so

Let’s me keep up with Great Falls when I moved away.

Readable

Decent app doesn’t crash often. Easy to use

Terrible APP

I used to be able to click on crossword and other puzzles and print them. Lately I have to open and close the app a bunch of times, log in through the internet and on and on. Notified the Tribune and never heard from them. The Tribune is becoming a hated paper in Great Falls. Customer Service is HORRIBLE!!

Excellent App

Excellent App for the Great Falls Tribute

Easy to use

It’s one of the easiest apps to use for news media

Good but....

I’m using an iPad and sometimes the pages won’t advance.

Access stormyDog05

This is a great system to utilize when unable to read the hard copy papers while away from home

Almost unusable

On my moms iPad the app keeps asking for a password, which is confusing for a elderly person so she refuses to use it. On my iPad it keeps freezing so I am unable to read the paper.

New format...

This doesn’t work. Nothing ones up. What the hell are you doing?

Filled with glitches

We have never been able to get this to work. Support's suggestion was to log in using Facebook, which has never worked. When I try to log in using a new account setting, it states"this account is set to log in using Facebook", yes we cannot log in using our FB account. Vortex of inefficiency. The emagazine version of the Tribune has 'feature' news that is often 10 to 14 days old. This app seemed to be the only way to get current news from Great Falls. If only it worked. It is now clear why the Tribune is letting so many people go.

Some Bugs

Crashes several times per week when opening App. Columns displayed in Stock and Forecast sections changes, not always for the better.

Classic Newspaper Feel Digitized.

I have an ipad mini. And i don't like wasting any more paper than i already do.
The concept is good, and the newspaper articles are readable, but the load times are a little annoying especially when zoomed in scanning the page.
Instead of making the whole newspaper as pure images, it would be better if text was still in a vector form so it doesn't lose quality when zoomed in. This would also help the whole newspaper respond quicker with less images to load.
Also, they need to add a "remember my password" option.

****edit- i found out the best way to read the newspaper is by using the article view. This allows you to view the whole page and 1 article at the same time. Just click on the part of the page in page view, (left side of screen) then read the article in the right side as converted text with font sizes, or as what you see in the printed version. I increased my star value review from 3 to 4 stars.
