New version doesn’t work

The new version doesn’t display the text. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and it doesn’t fix the problem. They should test the app before putting it out there for download.

We’re sorry you’re having trouble with the new version. GHSB 7.02 performs a one-time setup after installation before the Bible text is ready to display. Depending on the device, this process may take a little time to complete. Please leave GHSB open after installation and allow the initial setup to finish. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app restarts this process from the beginning. We extensively test each release before publication, but we also want to investigate problems that occur on individual devices. If the text still does not appear after setup has completed, please contact us through the GHSB support page so we can help identify the cause. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

simplicity is gone

the simplicity of looking up the origins and meanings of every word quickly is gone. UPDATE: I now have been notified that a correction is coming that will restore the quick look up and etymology of the Greek or Hebrew word questioned.

We have reorganized Word lookup so the familiar quick definitions and the newer, more detailed information are available together. I can’t find how to change from one Bible book to another in the latest update. The old button center top is gone in the latest update.

Thank you for letting us know. We found that in some screen configurations—such as Stage Manager, Split View, or larger accessibility text—the Bible Chooser could be hidden when space was limited. We’ve made changes so the Bible Chooser remains accessible in these situations. The revision is already in testing and will be included in an upcoming update. We appreciate the feedback. Reports like this help us identify real-world situations we need to address.

Books and chapter heading missing???

We can’t change books, chapters even between New and Old Testaments??? HELP!!

What happened to system settings?

The new version has removed the system settings. The only setting available is the font.
This used to be one of the best, now is below par.

Bring back old Hebrew font

I used to love this app for studying Hebrew and Greek, and for checking to see which words were used in the original language as I read the Bible. Now the OT part is basically useless to me, as it’s too hard to recognize the letters in the modern script. Please, please change the Hebrew font back to the recognizable Biblical Hebrew font, or give the users the option of which Hebrew font to use. Then I would give the app a 5-star rating.

Good app

Personally I like the app.
At some point it crash and I stopped using it but I just redowload it and I’m glad they did an update.
It works well now.

Do not like the new version - version 5

I have used this app for many years and have always enjoyed it. In the new version there is only the white screen which is harder on the eyes than the old option of an ‘old paper’ screen. This makes it harder to read. In the new version the English translation in the Interlinear is squashed into a column to the left hand side of the page instead of being fully across the page as in the earlier versions. Again this change makes it harder to read. Can these changes please be reversed?

Terrible updates.

The change in Greek/Hebrew font is absolutely atrocious and unclear. The white background is also too much. Give us options for personal customization. Please!!!!!

An Excellent App Gone Bad!!

Update—Feb 18, 2021: fixing some of the bugs has helped return this app closer to what it was. I appreciate you doing that, particularly this last update. Thank you.

This used to be a excellent App. I used it DAILY for years— and I know both Hebrew and Greek since my teenage years (now in my mid 60s). I have taught Biblical Hebrew for nearly 30 years as part of my teaching load as a university professor. I recommended this App to my upper level students because of some of this Apps features.

With the changes made in the last two versions and the multitude of bugs that plague these versions, this App has lost much of its virtue in aiding the modern Biblical reader. And the only easy way to contact the designers of the App to help them in fixing and improving their product is the review feature on the App Store advertisement. What’s with that?

I truly wish the creators and designers of this App would read the reviews that have given this App a low rating. I would love it if bugs were fixed or if possible for the user have the ability choose features found in various versions.

ATTENTION APP DESIGNERS: please fix the all the bugs. Help what was an excellent App become excellent again.

Make like it was before the update please

This was my favorite app. However when I did the update it will no longer let me pull up a verse . It just comes up on Gen 1. There is not a way to look up a chapter and verse. Also the font was much better in Biblical Hebrew now after the update its modern Hebrew which is much harder to read. Please fix so I can give 5 stars

Why the Font change

I find the new font more difficult to use than the original. Could you restore the original font or give us the options to use one or the other.

I like that some of the words (nouns & verbs) are parsed. Can I help to add parsing? I have had extensive training in the
Biblical Languages.

Return to the prior script/font and layout...

On October 17, 2020, in the midst of reading you updated the app version and ruined the script/font and layout of the text. The new Hebrew script/font and current text layout are terrible. Please return to the script/font and text layout options that existed before October 17. Moreover, with this new version the font size adjustment does not work.

Love this app!

I would give this app five stars except for the page with other scriptures using the same Hebrew/Greek word. The black background with blue lettering is unreadable! Please, please change it so I can use that feature! Thank you!

CANNOT AWARD A FIVE STAR

Although there is a lot to commend this app, it has one disappointing feature, or lack thereof. While the app tells you how many times a word in Hebrew or Greek occurs in the bible, it does not supply the the bible references where the word appears.
