A real Greek Tragedy
If a 12 yr old gave you this pile of inaccurate, badly spelled, cut and paste rubbish, as a school project, you would give them detention and fail them. All the developer had to do was to copy and paste the text and image from Wikipedia onto a Greekish background, they couldn’t even manage that. Half the pages have no image at all, and the text flows around empty boxes. The picture of Aphrodite, isn’t her, Arcos isn’t Greek at all and any Greek who used the date ‘BC’ was clearly a time traveler.
The second I have stopped warning other unsuspecting potential customers that they are about to thrown money down the drain, I will be heading straight to apple to get my money back, I know it’s only 2.99, but this is blatant theft.
Just in case you were still unsure, My grandma’s dead dog, has more life and information on Greek mythology than this app. If you do decide to buy it, would you also mind lending me £10k for an urgent investment in Nigeria.
Don’t do it.

I like the app but unfortunately the first one I clicked on ares, had miss information “He is often said to be similar to the god Mars, but is less civilized and brutal.” Now this statement is wrong because the Roman name for Ares is Mars. Ares and Mars are the same person and this should be updated along with any other miss information. Still cool concept for an app tho 🤷♀️

Response from developer
Hi Pink.PLuto, thanks for the feedback! That sentence meant to contrast the slight differences between the greek god Ares and the roman god Mars. We agree this could be improved though so we have updated it for the next update. Note that even though Mars is based on Ares, the Romans reinterpreted him in a slightly different way. In Roman mythology, Mars was originally the god of agriculture but then became the god of war. Mars was also more merciful and had a heart for the good people of Rome while Ares was very deadly and terrifying to all people. Again thanks for the feedback!
Good and bad
A nice free ‘dictionary’ of Greek mythological figures, but you’d think if someone were going to make an app like this they would have someone proofread it before releasing it. It’s riddled with spelling errors, which is especially annoying in an app which is entirely language-based.
Horrible
Very basic & needs updates
