Every time you use a search engine to lookup and perform a conversion, you use an estimated 0.0003 kWh. If a million people perform one conversion a day, that would imply an estimated 300 kWh used per day. This is environmentally illogical when one could easily have a local application to do the same.
Green Convert is this application. You can configure three of your most frequently used conversions for common metrics including weights, distance, area, and cooking. For example, you can convert from yards to meters or acres to square feet. Green Convert includes an estimate of how much energy is saved by performing the conversions locally on your device. In addition, the application functions without internet access.
