Needs a lot of improvement

The application is rudimentary at best and never seems to improve. Since so many people have moved to digital subscriptions I find it amazing that Gannett doesn’t lean on the developers to improve. Basic things like bulleted lists disappear from the original version to the version in the application. The list of things that it can’t/doesn’t display is a long one.

Daily e-paper

I so enjoy having my paper wherever and whenever I want it. It’s so easy to navigate to anywhere in the paper without fighting a bunch of paper ( not to mention getting ink all over your hands!). Thanks for a well thought out app. RJ Ps: leaving a nickname to this note is impossible. I made up ridiculous letters and numbers and everything is “taken”

Greenville news app

Love the app and the ability to access all the information by tablet or phone anywhere at any time. Especially good to get the local news. Without the local news we would miss a lot of info

My life with The Greenville News

As a carrier in my youth and through high school, it was a tremendous undertaking but rewarding. In the early years the paper was a necessity for getting the news and local events. Each community had a reporter that would be on top of a story to be published ASAP. Although this was the intention, the paper was reliable, also it was thick and heavy on some days. During High School I was offered a Sunday route that was changed to a daily delivery consisting of forty miles each day and had to do most of the collection. Through the years I gained a lot of knowledge about dealing with the public. This was beneficial in my career in automotive service as how to meet the challenges of dealing with people. My life is now in retirement and getting so much more news, good and bad, from a small iPhone and of course still a subscriber of the paper. Life is Good. Still think about Earle Gregory and his work for the paper. Cheers to all.
