Didn’t know my cactus
So I bought a cactus at Home Depot and it came with a smart planet, sustainable gardening, QR code, which led me to this app. Greg: plant identifier and care. My one and only plant, this cactus, Euphorbia Abyssinica, wasn’t listed. So now I have this app and I can’t use it on the only plant in my house.

On FI. Bought plant thinking this service of reminding to water was no cost! Dumb me!!!
Just not intuitive
I wanted to love this app but it’s just no intuitive. It’s not some pretty significant bugs, like when I’m trying to swipe in between my plants, it only loads info on one plant and the rest of the pages are black. This was when I cancelled the free membership.
My phone is fully updated, the app was updated so I know it wasn’t a mismatch there. As an app developers wife, it’s just not up to par with how apps should be.

Lots of bugs and short sighted design
App’s ai isn’t actually very good. It really can’t estimate a pot size very accurately. It guessed my 4 inch pot was a 12. It also can’t guess plants all that great. More than half of my plants it confidently named with 90-99% confidence a plant that isn’t even vaguely similar. For instance my sun dew is a fern. I don’t actually really care about that but if you don’t know what your plant is this probably won’t help. What is pretty annoying is that when you use the identify to add a plant, if you don’t accept the wrong identification and try to scroll or look up another plant the app will crash about 80% of the time. The other problem I have with this seems pretty obvious if anyone tested the app. Any of the pages in the community tab don’t seem to have a way to back out of them. You will click on someone’s post or the leaderboard or almost anything and the navigation bar on the bottom will go away. With no back arrow you now need to close out the app completely. Super user unfriendly.

Taking the opportunity has made me realize how little I know about the plant world even though I grew up in a house of green thumbs. I grew up learning my family's methods and names ,and just kept going, mostly outdoors. Now, at this point in life, doing inside only is another world. After alife changing accident all the help I need is here to stop my murderous ways.

Great for new plant parents
I’ve been using this app for a few months now and like that I have a way to organize all my plants. Hoping they’re working on the quality of the pics because I’d like to look back at them and not have terrible resolution.

Sometimes the watering schedule can be off . I’ve learned to ( Feel my plants soil before watering them again. ) It’s been nice being sent the reminders to water and or to fertilize my plants . Thank you Greg .
Useless App for Free
The app stopped letting me keep my schedule for when to water after a few months so now everything is locked behind a paywall. Absolutely not worth paying for a subscription.
Great water schedule
This is a fantastic app for accurate watering reminders. So if you’re a new plant parent you just can’t go wrong. There’s also a small plant shop and forum where you can always get help . The forum has a bunch of glitches which can be annoying. Otherwise a five star app
Wrong identity of plants
Doesn’t even identify a lemon tree with a lemon on it… gives diff names of plants just not the lemon tree
Why can’t I just know when I need to water my plants
Even when I try to say it’s watered it doesn’t let me water. Switched to a different app for my plants.

A mess
After using the app for years and having a subscription logging over twenty plants. The app has deleted my profile and keeps asking me to create a profile to start my pant journey. Even sent me a welcome email like I just got the app. Now what do I do? All my history lost!
Needed on every phone
This App is amazing. I could walk around all day and ID any plant I want too. Perfect for first time plant owners. I love the water timer, and the diagnoses and treatment feature as well. You get to have acess to other plant owners as well to chat and see their plants amazing
