Pretty good.
Please add buttons to quick switch midi channel.
Great! Missing option of pitch and mod wheels. One issue with Audiobus3
It’s good. 5 stars because I liked it and it saved me of something the push 2 couldn’t, but!... Could be better! Still! Something weird happens when triggered by Audiobus3: Rightmost column keys can only be played in the left half of them. No matter if you spin the iPad around. And the leftmost column keys miss the light at the very left but still sound. These last details don’t happen without Audiobus3. I would add the option to show the modulation and pitch wheels, or more.

Great tool! DAW input & teaching/exploring/learning.
This is a great tool that serve so many of my needs at the same time! On an iPad 12.9 inch in landscape mode you get a grid of pads 13 wide and 8 high. You can also go portrait mode 10 wide, 12 high. From left to right you can choose to have the diatonic notes of a scale, key-center highlighted, or you can go chromatic and have the key-center and diatonic notes highlighted while the notes out-of-scale are grayed out but still playable. And with 13 pads wide, you get all 12 tones + the key-center on top in one row - try to buy a physical launchpad that big! Independent from that you can select the interval step in which the notes from bottom to top are stacked. And you can play 10 notes at the same time!
You can use this as a input method for your DAW, or for teaching/exploring/learning! Set up octaves from bottom to top and check out the overtone-series. Stack thirds or forths to construct chords easily - more time hearing/exploring/experience harmonic ideas in the first place! How should you learn and recognize the modes on your instrument if you have no idea of their sounds beforehand? Highlight the notes of a mode on a chromatic layout and create melodies right away. Damn piano keyboard only allows to experience C Major easily (exaggerated). In this app you can experience all scales as easy as C Major on a piano.
Some feature request for educational purposes:
interval-stack bottom to top starts with minor 2nd. Please add option unison (+0).
options to go without highlights at all. So key = „none“ and scale = „none“.

最高。買ってよかった。
ノートモードとトリガーモードを切り替えられると、更に売れると思う。
Ableton Push 2
Add Ableton Push 2 support please
Like Launchpad Pro Scale mode
Great MIDI controller like Launchpad Pro’s scale mode. It would be nice if this was an 8 X 8 grid though or something we can customize.
Not working with Launchpad Pro
I was interested in getting this app after watching some videos. Unfortunately, after defining device and correct model I’m able to see the grid on Launchpad Pro, but no sound after pressing pads. I’d welcome some support. Thank you
Nice for iPad
I like the app on the iPad but on the iPhone I am missing a horizontal screen (=feature request ^^).
もっと早く知りたかった
これがあるとlaunch padがノートモードで使えるようになります。
もちろんmk3は元々出来ますけど、mk2以前のものでもできます。しかもmk2以前のものはUD BT01にも対応してるからBluetoothで使うことができます。

Beautiful lights come on
Using an iPad Pro and launchpad pro . Liked the idea of this app unfortunately all the notes lock when played on launchpad and won’t connect to other apps using AUM
スケールを選択する際
その都度、設定画面を辿る必要があるのが面倒。
スライドオーバーに対応しているのは良い。

Please update
It has support for the original launchpad and the new Mk 3 but not the mark 2, which isn’t very helpful. The whole thing looks and feels very underdeveloped
great apps
Please add rotate function. I use gridinstruments on my iPhone, so I think it would be very useful if it was wide.
Great app however needs some love
Great app ..the developer just to have more online presence on social media to publicise the app.
No updates in over a year ☹️

Nailed it.
For what it does, it’s beautiful. Simple, idiot-proof way to unlock full Launchpad’s full potential in any app.
great app for ableton lovers and ios musicians
iam using app just a 20 minutes, and i have to say it is great. any midi app + gridinstrument = <3
this app is most used app on my ipad (actually AUM + gridinstrument + gadget + cubasis)
UPD: developers, please, could you add separate midi out channels configuration for drum and chromatic layouts? with that feature, I would easily play two instruments on launchpad mini. for example midi channel 10 for some drums instruments using drum layout, then select chromatic layout with midi channel 11 for bass instrument

A perfectible app
I must say the app is good, but limited. It’s the ONLY app that really turns your iPad into a launchpad of sorts. It’s responsive, works with other apps, sends MIDI, can put in ANY scale and change the intervals within rows (perfect 4th being the default)..But this app has SO MUCH MORE POTENTIAL! It’d be great to be able to change the size and the colors of the pads, modify the pitch end to go beyond whole steps. This app would be a killer if you could add customizable controllers like mappable nobs, or at least have other layout types of controllers other than a “launchpad”.
Even if they are in-app purchases, I’d gladly pay for them!

Simply Perfect
Needed an app to use the LaunchPad Pro and this is that app. Thanks to the few that have made videos promoting this app. Don’t have the LaunchPad devise? No problem! Play DAWS like GarageBand with the pad in the app, similar to BeatMaker grid style playing. This app is fantastic!
Great
Just needs AUV3 to keep it on the same screen as other apps/synths and daw
Great App that needs some minor polish
I absolutely love this app! It has helped me think outside the box musically. I’ve become addicted to grid based playing now. It’s so much better than the keyboard layout to me.
I love that I can select scales from a wide array of modes, and the ability to change the row offset is great.
There’s a few things that I think would be great additions to consider and one issue I’ve run into.
The issue is with stuck midi notes. Since the rows can overlap with small row intervals, you end up with the same exact note on the grid multiple times. I love this, but I occasionally hit the same note on two separate pads simultaneously. When I do this, one of the midi messages gets stuck. Like there’s two noteon messages being fired, but only one noteoff.
A few things I’d love to have is velocity based on the Y-axis of each pad (or better yet the ability to map the Y-axis to midi cc), and the ability to change the row offset independently for each row instead of globally. The former being substantially more useful.
Thanks for such a great app! It’s inspired me to learn to build my own physical grid midi controller.
