Broken do not buy
None of the cut scenes load so you completely miss the story. Freezes at a single shot or completely black screen. :( sad. Usually I love these games.

Love these games
I really do… the hand drawn scenes are absolutely stunning and colorful. The game play is fun and addicting but I’ve noticed when you purchase the FULL game the cut scenes aren’t synced. Same thing with Enigmatis. The cut scene will start to play, pause, the sound will continue until the end of the scene and then the graphics will play without sound. That’s the only issue I’ve run into so far.

I’ve owned this game for a long time but somehow I have to repurchase occasionally. The game does not work properly. The game stalls throughout the entire game. I can’t even get the second heart/crow chest piece no matter how many times I play. It’s pointless. The game is no longer enjoyable especially due to the game stalling and have to skip every episode and I can’t get the game tools. If I get the second chest piece it automatically disappears when the witch appears at the hut and it stalls. I’m asking for a refund. I want to give a Zero score but can’t in order to submit a complaint.

The audio doesn't seem to work on my iPad, though other games of theirs have no problem, and I can't zoom in to help me locate objects, as I can with others of their games, but in general their games are just what I've been looking for: a variety of puzzles and tasks to solve. The story lines are always 🙄 but I lose myself in the games, anyway.

I have come to expect games of this type to be pretty cheesy at best, or at worse, unbearably bad. I don't mind the cheese. I like the cheese. The cheese is our friend. That said, I bought this game immediately after watching the opening cinematic, because dang... it was kind of good. Still cheesy, but good cheese. It continues to impress after that, with good storytelling and a sense of drama, all mixed in with different styles of puzzles, which are both decent and not always obvious. The hidden object puzzles in particular make you work a bit harder than your typical ones, a fact that I'm loving to hate. Plus there's lots of extra goodies to spot in most scenes and the promise of a bonus game. And one dang cute kitten. Well worth playing.

I like this type of game, & this particular installment doesn’t have an overload of the “hidden object” minigames. I got the collection, currently I’ve only played the ‘Grim Legends’ title so can’t speak for the rest of the Grim Collection. I would compare this to Persian Nights 2, because of the element of twin female MCs and the magical mixing of potions, plus rune fighting. But, Dear Artiflex, I’ve purchased over $100 worth of games counting the PC collection that I use pixelwdkittenzATgmail for also but mostly iPhone so ❤️:pPLeAsE❤️ send a promo to me!! I review usually and provide spelling error feedback with screenshots lol. For instance, in the last game several things were amiss, and more than once a misspelled word such as “fusses” for “fuses” in a Ghost Faces installment. I still have plenty of screenshots with the misspells, bloopers and glitches. Ty!
