Zero stars. It is constantly showing that I am online even though I haven’t touched my phone. Complete scam. Kind of dangerous too. Why do you keep showing me online even though I’m not online?

The app quality went way downhill after it was bought by greedy American investors. The developers have broken the one thing that made it useful, which is proximity. Their algorithm learns what your type is and then locks those profiles behind paywalls of $20 or more. Sniffies is gaining more traction in major cities, it’s only a matter of time before Grindr dies out.

Predictable and Sad Decline
Grindr has made the app unusable without a subscription. You see such a limited number of people I can probably lean out my window and see more gays. The ads run for what seems like forever. And while I’ve paid for Grindr previously, the pricing structure is completely unreasonable. I’m glad there’s competition out there. When Grindr was sold to the highest bidder its downfall was totally predictable. Love how capitalism ruins even the basic mechanisms for finding human connections in 2026!

Garbage app
The Einstein at Grindr use plenty of bots to fill in profiles while you pay a premium price for the service. They also ban you for unknowing reasons under the umbrella of safety and security and really don’t give you a reason why nor have a human review. Plenty of better apps out there that are true to the platform. I have it one star because there wasn’t anything less.

Not worth the effort not even for free. Spend time filling in your profile then realize the app is trash. Grindr is loaded with fake profiles and many try to pull crypto scams on you. If that wasn’t irritating perhaps the intrusive ads that takeover the entire screen will do it. If you’re a gay man into gay men you won’t find that here because it’s been taken over by the trans and cross dressers. It’s even worse if you’re over forty. The community on Grindr in addition to the app are garbage.

-Riddled with ads including constant full screen ads which pop up without warning to hold your screen hostage
-Fake profiles message you every few minutes
-Search filters are ether completely broken or whoever made them is profoundly stupid
-You have the option to use filters but then it ignores your location and shows profiles at random from several hundred kilometres away OR you can filter to only profiles in your city but then EVERY OTHER filter gets wholly ignored
-The monetization has become the sole focus of the developers behind Grindr even at the cost of user experience

GRINDR HAS LOST ITS WAY
This app is TERRIBLE. I wish there were better options out there. Over the past several months, the spam, bots and scam accounts are intolerable. Just now, I had someone trying to get me to buy an online Xbox game card. It's every day, all day! My notifications go off about 15 times a day with spam accounts tapping me. In addition, you guys are out of your MINDS if you think I'm going to pay that high price of a paid membership just to be spammed and possibly be taken advantage of. You guys really need to get it together.
