Grindr decided to ban my account without telling me why and then took an entire month to respond. Their response was we understand this is frustrating. Write your email address on a piece of paper. Take a picture of yourself holding the paper and then send it to us. What?

The picture review process is very inconsistent and unfair. One of my pics has been on “pending review” for months. When I try to upload pics that are as revealing as the ones I see on other peoples profile it doesn’t get approved. Update: 9/16/26 Because of the latest update you can’t prevent your age from being posted.

I was with this app for several years and I wouldn’t mind being subscribed, but after what happened i realised that the people working there are not professionals. Although I’m not surprised after my account was banned for not apparent reason, and the supposedly “specially trained” people couldn’t figure out whether it was a someone mistake or scam. I am sure that i did nothing wrong! I had lovely people to communicate with and some with whom i could have potential meetings in the future, but thanks “specially trained” people who cannot solve the problem correctly, i lost everything!
Because of this attitude and “professionalism” i would recommend finding an alternative and not wasting your time and money, because at any moment, WITHOUT ANY WARNING, you can lose everything!

Had this app a while ago and thought I’d give it another go. Went to set up a new account and accidentally put in the wrong date of birth (my finger slipped on the year). It locked me out and when I reached out to get access they refused to help. I tried everything but it’s locked my phone out permanently
