GrittyWork

GrittyWork is an innovative app that aims to capture healthcare worker perception of workload and environments. The app pairs these data with electronic workload measures in the electronic health record to gain a more comprehensive evaluation of work experience of healthcare workers through objective and subjective measures. This approach offers the opportunity for real-time insights into workloads, work patterns, and the impact of work design on healthcare worker health and performance outcomes, including patient care and organizational outcomes. GrittyWork is utilized by organizations to capture real-time perceptions of the clinical work environment. Individual healthcare workers enrolled in GrittyWork will receive push notifications periodically to assess workplace conditions. The app then pairs this data with job performance data as well as patient and organizational data. The goal of GrittyWork is to detect when work design may be causing harm and to optimize work design for the best healthcare worker, patient, and organizational outcomes.
