Alas…..
I’ve been using Grocery Gadget for years probably since you first started programming it. I’ve never been able to get my app to merge both the stay on my phone and the data in the group. I just tried for maybe the 30th time (call me crazy?) and I’m now stuck in an endless loop of syncing that never goes anywhere and is holding my app hostage so I can’t use it. Incredibly frustrating.
It would be very helpful to be able to establish a new “store” independent of your list. I’ve never figured out how to enter my own version of “store” and it’s been very frustrating because there are other lists I would like to make than grocery stores or other actual stores. Personal lists.

Hi all this is a great app, just be careful as it has spam messages that imitate mail and messages icons, don’t tap.

Siri support would certainly be nice. Especially when something pops into your mind for the list while driving. Also, Mac or web support would be handy.

Server Errors
Partner and I have used this app for years, but the app is constantly plagued with “internal server errors.” We each spent a long time on our respective phones in creating a large list. When I arrived at the grocery store, I found that the list would not sync due to an “internal server error.” Provided feedback in the app to report it and received only an automated reply. It’s been several hours now and there is still a server error. So, I would caution anyone who wants to try this app: it is unfortunately unreliable.

Essential for efficient shopping
Grocery Gadget is essential for my monthly shopping. I live in a rural area and travel to the city monthly to shop at Costco and other stores as needed. I shop for myself and 2-3 others. This app makes these shopping trips easy and efficient. I wouldn’t be without it. When my income was reduced I ended most subscriptions, but Grocery Gadget is well worth the annual fee.

Still doesn’t work. Haven’t been able to scan & add new items to list.
Improvement
Very good Grocery list app. But I wish you add + symbol in each category so we do not need to go to each items to change category…I mean…add that simple trick to go directly to the desired category list. Thanks and that would be perfect!
Great for synching lists
In my household we shop for ourselves as well as an elderly family member. Also we mostly shop at 2 different stores and a few key items are only in one store. This app is a Godsend helping us create and synch lists and pull a list for only a specific store. We also now use it to keep track of things we need online from Amazon & chewys, and we have a household to-do list (no store selected). This app is the best I’ve tried for our needs

Best most used app ever!
I have been using this app since the days of the Palm Pilot. It has transferred to every new device and keeps all the shopping list organized between all family members. Love it!!
Nothing better
I’ve used this app for several years. Of all the grocery shopping apps out there with all kinds of features, the basic functionality of this one is the best: you build a grocery list in the order that you want, and at the store, Grocery Gadget adjusts to the way you shop.
Loved it, doesn’t work now
We love this app for our family, we have been using it for years. Everyone has it (two parents and three kids) and we add things to the grocery list as we use the items. But all of sudden it has stopped syncing!!!! No one’s list syncs to the others anymore! Seems to of stopped working around Christmas time. Hoping it gets fixed soon otherwise we will need to find a different app.

Can’t update paid subscription, lost all data have had for years. Nobody responds to my queries.
Works great except for synching
Love the way app is organized and its simplicity. Developers have stayed focused on the core function.

My go to app for grocery shopping
I have had this for several years and never found anything better. It allows me to have several different stores (Safeway, Costco, Safeway Christmas, Hawaii Costco…). Entering is easy with barcodes and ability to add photos. I’ve tried several others, but nothing comes closer
