I use this app to keep records on conversations with medical professionals or during meetings when more than one speaker is involved. The Group Translate does not have English to English. Please keep this app. It is the only app that I know of that assists the hard of hearing without requiring Bluetooth.

Session name needs to be editable
I like this app. But, the app should allow the session name to be changed or the index should allow a way to have a quick identifier.
The best captioning tool
I have been using many different captioning tools to compensate my severe hearing loss. I always come back to this one from Microsoft. The ability to pick speech from noisy places or even from say 10 meters away is unbeatable.
It’s clearly on a higher level compared to competitive captioning apps.
An example is using it in the car. As driver to see this captioning working and picking up the speech from others behind me regardless of environmental noise is amazing.
I would love to see one day Microsoft releasing captioning glasses. It would be a big winner. Glasses that are only for captioning, no cameras etc. The technology is all there. Now a matter of putting it together.

Excellent yet Discriminatory
This is the best solution for deaf people to understand what is being said.
However, it contains a morality option that disadvantages us by masking profanity. We are just as human as you are, and we do not need to be as protected. Disable the morality code and make it an opt in.

Great Transcribing App
Great app for hearing impaired person. Translate words quickly and work better than many other apps.

Times out at 30 minutes
I guess because it is experimental and free, it times out at 30 minutes so it is not useful for long meetings, unfortunately. The text font also cannot be increased or made large. If you are in close proximity with another user it gets confused who is speaking. Adds punctuation at odd times and transcripts have time stamps that can’t be removed. Not ready for prime time much like all AI speech to text.

Great, but a question
This works better than any other voice transcription app that I have tried. It is the only one that picks up the voices of others that are not directly by my iPhone. However, I noticed that while using the app, the volume of my hearing aid and cochlear implant is reduced. This is annoying as I still need to hear what is being said as well as read along.

Nice app, just a mute button would be excellent
I use this app, the accurate is 95% or more in real time translation, just please add a mute bottom, so our conversation don’t interrupt the team who is speaking. That will make this app 5 star.
Miles ahead of Apple dictation
Really, really cool app. Certainly miles ahead of Apple dictation. The way it automatically inserts punctuation is good, not always accurate but never wrong.
I just wish there were a few more functionalities like being able to name the session and pause/continue a session

Excellent app for the hearing impaired, but..
Excellent and essential speech recognition app for the deaf and hearing impaired. I use it many times a day for personal and work related in-person interactions in order to understand what’s being said.
As a person who also suffers from visual impairments, it would be extremely helpful if the text size could be changed by the user allowing for larger text options. The greyed out text (while it is showing words or sentences being processed) is also unnecessarily hard to see. Don’t fade that processing text. I have contacted the Microsoft Accessibility Team regarding these issues numerous times since the release of the app. I would think that these fixes would be easy to implement by the developers, and would benefit many.
Finally, eliminate the foul language censor or make it optional. This is discriminatory for those with hearing impairments.

Nice app, needs support for large fonts
This is a really nice tool but it really needs larger fonts for folks that are both hard of hearing and have some vision issues as well. If the larger font options are added, it will be a huge improvement.
Excellent - just missing one thing.
Fantastic app overall, just need an option to increase font sizes for the live transcription so it’s easier to read at a distance.
Superior Live Transcription
With Apple failing to provide this essential service, this free option from Microsoft is superior to other paid iOS options and from my casual testing, superior to Google on Android devices. Hope Microsoft pushes forward with this app but it hasn’t been updated in 2 months.

Great app but needs a pause/resume meeting feature button when a meeting takes a small break without having to end the session and start a new one.

Incredible app for hearing impaired users
Great new app with amazing potential both for business applications and as a tool for hearing-impaired users. Curiously space-hungry though - after transcribing a few conversations the app's size grew enormously, and I couldn't find any way to trim it back down short of uninstalling and reinstalling it. So it might need some bug-fixes for what data it stores on-device. But otherwise a delightful new tool!
