A Product Should Work—This One Doesn’t

I had high hopes for GrowCoop, but unfortunately, this app is nowhere near functional. First, connecting the device to Wi-Fi is impossible, even after adjusting all settings as recommended. Second, even when connecting directly via phone, the app fails to recognize any sensors, making plant management useless.

This isn’t a smart irrigation system—it’s a frustrating tech puzzle. A product should work out of the box, not require users to troubleshoot like they’re debugging software. It feels like no real effort was put into making this app user-friendly or even usable.

Needs A LOT OF WORK

Great idea, amateurish execution. Setup is a huge chore, disconnects routinely. Doesn’t want to connect to Wifi. The database is slow as molasses and it’s missing a ton of common plants. Don’t sell a Wifi dependent device and then ignore the software. Very disappointed.

Connection issues, Plant Library Lacking.

Perhaps it is growing pains with a new device, but I constantly have to reset the device, app, network, all of the above, just to get it working. It keeps saying “poor network connection” or “ cannot connect to device” even if it’s in the same room or one room away from the router. It’s not a 5Ghz issue as I even turned off that channel temporarily through Eero to see and that didn’t do anything. Also the plant library doesn’t have many plants and when you try to add your own you can’t even put much info as you’re limited to TWELVE characters for the SCIENTIFIC NAME and 120 characters for description.
