Ads

The game is fun BUT the ads take away from the fun. After every round you’re forced to watch an ad. Every round. Because of that I will be deleting this app.

Cheap

I like how all these games let you play ad free for the first day and constantly ask you to rate them then they start constantly putting up ads even after you watch ads to gain a little more in the game. It’s funny they don’t ask you for a good rating again after they bombard you with ads.

Great time waster

Fun easy to do

Ok game

Ok fine game

Update offers very little

The game runs out of options fast. You will upgrade all units to max level quickly. If you are looking to kill 5 minutes its okay

Mid

Just a spit off of another game, and sometimes the multipliers just don’t work wouldn’t recommend

Is this a game?

There’s really nothing to this game. It doesn’t involve any strategy at all. Just hold your thumb down, let the little guys loose and eventually you win the level (and watch an ad of course). Sometimes I was looking at the bottom of the screen where I’m shooting these grunts, not noticing the massacre at the top. Then I won. Over and over. It gets boring fast.

Surprising little game

This is a simple, yet fun to play gaming app. The option to get rewards for watching ads is there, but not mandatory. A person can play this game with zero if any game play interruptions. Enjoyable. I recommend.

Response from developer

Hi Commander, We're happy to hear you're enjoying the game and we appreciate the feedback.

Progress lost, hours wasted, don’t download.

I had been having fun playing this for several days. I had made tremendous progress. I open the gave today and everything I’ve worked for is gone. Hours of play wasted. I was on level 91 or 92. I had played several rounds of the Armored Resistance and has over 15k in coins, several units unlocked, the last being the helicopter, the robot and double gun grunt open, the second hover craft and most of them to level 9 with the double grunt to level 11. Now it’s all gone. I’m on level 9 of the game, all my work and progress have disappeared.

Don’t play this game. It all gets taken away from you with no explanation.

Good game if you can get past the ads, that are all the same. If I have downloaded the game after the first 100 ads then I’m not going to. They are ok for a while but after a while of playing up pops an ad and it so annoying now. So game isn’t for me only because of the ads that’s all

Good game to pass the time

I’ve been playing this game about a week and still enjoy it. There’s a trick to it creating enough soldiers to get the job done. It’s fun to play.

Flag

If the makers of this game could add a flag of a country that doesn't exist in any bible then by all means please add a country that does exist in all bibles. Add Israel

👎🏻

Disappointed game. We expected more, waste of energy and zero creativity

Copycat

Shamelessly freemium

Terrible

Ads every 5 seconds, whenever you load up a mission, upgrade troops or just click anywhere on the screen, an ad appears.

Awesome

👌🏻

Forced ads

Can’t play without watching ads

Keep Going Forward!

To Steer Studios team,

First of all, congratulations on launching your debut title, Grunt Rush. It’s always exciting to see new studios emerge, and your game shows clear passion and potential. As part of the growing Saudi and regional gaming ecosystem, your work represents a meaningful step forward.

After spending several hours playing the game, I’d like to share some constructive feedback that I believe could help strengthen the experience and improve its long-term success.

✅ What I appreciated:
• Smooth onboarding: The core gameplay is intuitive and easy to pick up, which is great for casual players.
• Progression system: Upgrading units and expanding the army offers a satisfying sense of growth.
• Offline playability: Being able to enjoy the game without internet access is a valuable feature, especially in this genre.

🛠️ Suggestions and Constructive Criticism:
1. Too similar to existing titles
While enjoyable, the game closely resembles others like Mob Control. Adding more unique mechanics, distinctive visual identity, or even light narrative elements could help Grunt Rush stand out.
2. Ad frequency feels excessive
Ads appearing after nearly every level disrupt the flow. Consider shifting toward an optional ad model (watch ads for bonuses) to make the experience feel more rewarding and less intrusive.
3. UI and localization bugs
I encountered placeholder messages (e.g., “broken string”) in reward screens. These issues affect the perception of quality and should be addressed for better user experience.
4. Lack of variety in gameplay
After a few levels, the experience becomes repetitive. Adding new gameplay modes (like base defense, boss fights, or even light PvP elements) could significantly increase player retention.
5. Minimal cultural identity
As a Saudi-based studio aligned with Vision 2030, you have an opportunity to incorporate subtle cultural or regional touches — whether in design, music, or story — that could distinguish your brand globally.

I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit of support and encouragement. I believe Grunt Rush has a solid foundation, and with ongoing iteration, it can become a standout title in the mobile strategy space. Looking forward to your future updates — and future projects.

Best regards,
Mohammed Alqahtani
