What were they thinking? The new screen is blinding bright and mostly empty. The numbers are a faint blue that's quite difficult to read. It will ring after 2 minutes, which I suppose is the point. But don't think you can check at one minute.
They could have had bigger, darker lettering, and a less bright background. And the chose this? Don't download the new look. The old one was much better.

Does what it says, desperate for an update
This app does exactly what it says. It provides a two minute timer that restarts at the touch of a button and start counting down immediately. It's perfect for whipping through a series of two minute tasks.
That said the interface is a couple of iOS revisions behind, and the alarm sounds are similarly outdated.

Desperately Needs an Update
This is a good GTD 2-min timer, but it hasn't been updated in three years, and it's really starting to show its age. The only alarm options are the kind that people thought were funny 10 years ago: you know, the dog that goes "woof woof!" and the duck that goes "quack quack!" Completely inappropriate for a work environment. The icon, with its blaring primary red colored icon, is also a bit of an eyesore. Both faults mentioned here could be fixed in very little time. Just add three non-corny, normal alarm options and tone down the icon's color a bit. Those quick fixes would bring the app up to five stars. Will the developers bother? I can only hope. If they don't, I hope a competitor swoops in and makes an improved version of this app and carries the concept of the GTD 2-min timer forward.

I loved this app - until OS4 came out. Now I can't get it to make any ticking sound! Please update!

Easy to use
Very simple and easy to use. I only wish it had the option to repeat the interval. This way if you have multiple two minute tasks, it can help keep you on track without having to stop what you're doing in order to start the timer again. Thanks!
Best timer out there!
I've tried lots of timers, and this is the one I'm keeping on my first page of apps.
The big differences?
- It starts a 2-minute timer as soon as you open it. No need to even press Start. This is what you really want, especially if you're using it for GTD's anything-you-can-do-in-two-minutes-you-do-right-away rule. It may not sound like much of a difference, but it is.
- It shows the seconds counting down in the familiar iPhone time-setting scroller, which for some reason is much more compelling than the usual mm:ss clock format.
- At any point, you can just press Reset to start a new 2-minute countdown. So if you finish a task sooner, you're ready to go again with the absolute minimum effort.
- At any point, you can drag the minute scroller to start a new countdown. So if you're halfway through the two minutes, you can just drag the minute-wheel to four minutes and it starts counting down again instantly (also resetting the seconds to :00).
- On the options page, you can set the default time, so that when you open the app it immediately starts a ten minute timer, or 15 minutes, or whatever.
It may not sound like much until you use it, but it's actually a completely new and different interface for a timer, and new way of using the iPhone time-setting controls. Ingenious, and perfect for the intended use.

This is a great little program and a must for anybody who needs a timer. From doing laundry to "I bet you can't down those beers in 2 minutes", you'll be amazed and how often you really do need a quality timer in your life.
Simple, straightforward app
Very simple, easy to use app. I like that the timer automatically starts when the app is launched. Perfect for keeping me to 2 minute tasks (or 1 or 3 or 5 or...).

I've been waiting for a simple timer and now we have one for a great price! I like how you can change the timer to the exact amount of time you want counted down. Other apps only let you count down a set amount of time. Works great! Keep up the good work Hobbyist!!

Finally, a simple to use timer! I use this timer everyday on several of my routines.

Handy app, simple, easy, and cheap - keeps me on track which is pretty much what it promises. I think this is particularly nice for GTD noobs.
