What a load of rubbish.

I have received yet another communication from the app developer because I have left a negative review which will not make me alter my criticism regarding this app of Guess the Cold War Aircraft. Apparently some of the major combat aircraft are omitted because they are in other apps and they are still in use by airforces. I still feel that the subject matter has been poorly researched, there seem to be just random aircraft pictures from a Google search. In a number of levels aircraft are constantly repeated, notably Mig 17, 19, 21 and 23's no Mig 29 or SU 15 and some French Mirages, obviously the person putting the app together knows little or nothing about the subject matter. The U.K. prototype TSR 2 is there but it never went into production why just the TSR 2? Why not show development aircraft from nations such as France and Sweden? Aircraft that played a significant part in the Cold War are not in the quiz such as the F4 Phantom which was used by the UK, West Germany, Turkey and Greece, there are no examples of a Panavia Tornado as used by Italy, Germany and the UK in large numbers. There are no examples of Gloster Meteors which were used by many NATO countries in significant numbers. De-Havilland Vampires or Westland Hornets are missing. The ground attack SEPECAT Jaguar used in significant numbers by the UK & France is not shown in the app quiz. Helicopters such as the Whirlwind, Wasp and Puma plus many others are absent. This is poor app there are ample opportunities to put pictures of all aircraft used during the Cold War in Europe but it has been badly put together. There are very few maritime patrol aircraft, aircraft such as the Neptune and Electra which were at the front line of the Cold War are absent as well as French Maritime aircraft. The in app purchases are far too expensive and the answers can be easily found by using a Google search if you have a good idea which service the aircraft is used by i.e. " US navy fighters of the 1950's".

Response from developer

Leaving four 1-star and 2-stars reviews on my apps stating that they're a "load of rubbish" or that they're "badly put together" while reporting inaccurate issues and not responding when asked for details, criticising free apps for containing IAPs and implying that users are forced to purchase them to play the game and trying to show off your knowledge ("obviously the person putting the app together knows little or nothing about the subject matter" or "little for those who know anything about WW2 armoured vehicles... Deleted this app after completing it.") is in my opinion mean-spirited. I always respond to reviews that report bugs, features that require attention or ideas for further development. I have improved my apps a lot based on constructive criticism from users. You shouldn't feel annoyed, hurt or singled-out if a developer responds to your reviews asking for clarification on an issue or contradicting you. The MiG-29, F-4 Phantom II, Jaguar, Tornado and the Puma are included in the Guess the Modern Military Aircraft app because they are fairly modern aircraft, some still in use with their original operators. The Meteor is included in the Guess the World War II Warplane app. Two Mirage versions are present in this app. The Whirlwind is in fact a licence built H-19 Chickasaw which is also included in the app. The next update will include lesser known aircraft, as the de Havilland Hornet or the Lockheed P-2 Neptune. As mentioned in the other responses to your reviews, the in-app purchases are not in any way mandatory to complete the game. Another mean-spirited and poorly researched review.
